Don’t sleep on the cookies! Easily a top NYC cookie contender
Counter Service on 14th St is one to watch. Hands down one of the best quality and value sandwich spots in the city.
I worked through most of the menu-- the Cortese (roast pork & rabe), the Baron (roast beef), the Buffalo Chicken, and the Tuna Melt. I usually don't find this many good options at a single restaurant.
Pro tip: say yes to the pickle and do not skip the cookie!

I went here because of the ludicrously funny sign about sandwiches pointing to the place. I had one of their turkey sandwiches and it was quite tasty.. I am the type of person who kind of likes a bigger lunch so it didn't exactly fill me. I also had the side of kale which was good..
