Brilliant slice, definitely a rival to the top spots of NYC!
There’s a lot of great pizza around New York, from two buck slices to luxury focaccia with cheese on top that was made on the premises by a happy cow. But what you really want is a simple crisp slice with some innovative choices made with fresh tasty ingredients. Fermento Pizza NYC is a small slice shop considered a hidden gem and a great addition to the local pizza scene. The pizza is described as amazing, fantastic, and truly fantastic stuff, with one of the best crusts or doughs experienced. The crust is both cracker-y at the base and airy at the end, achieving an airy and crispy texture simultaneously. Ingredients are delicious and flavorful.
The shop offers excellent variety. Notable menu items include the incredible truffle and prosciutto slice, which features little ricotta spots added after baking. The spicy housemade vodka sauce slice has the best vodka sauce one reviewer ever tried. Other praised pies are the Sicilian spicy pep vodka pie, noted for being fantastic and not dripping with grease, and the ham jam pie, which offers a nice balance of sweet and savory.
