Always wanted to check this place out but it gets busy on weekends. I had a day off on a Friday so decided to go for a visit. On weekdays they don't have their extensive brunch menu so some of the dishes you'd see on the weekends aren't available on weekdays. However, the Freemans French Toast was available and I got to try it finally. It was thick and super custardy -- might be my favorite French toast in NYC so far! Down a graffiti art covered alley, Freeman's offers a rustic and cozy vibe. We are there for brunch and had a great visit. Their coffee is fantastic. I had the British breakfast plate, veggie styled. Everything was good and I would visit again.

If you want quality food that will keep you going for half the day, this is your place! Even though it was packed, we got served pretty quickly and everything we had was delicious. I personally recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken!
