Gourmet Deli & Pizza is a convenient 24-hour deli and pizza spot, open all the time, 24/7. The deli sandwiches, including the delicious Reuben and an EXCELLENT TUNA SANDWICH, are well-received, although some find them more expensive than other delis. Their pizza, particularly the signature truffle mushroom, is a standout with a perfect crust and fresh toppings. Cash and credit are accepted, with a $5 minimum for credit card purchases. Small tables are available in the back, but there is no public bathroom. The restaurant is located near the 14th/8th Ave subway station, close to Mount Sinai Hospital's Blavatnik Center in Chelsea. The daytime food staff speaks Spanish, and the deli sells household items, newspapers, pet food, beverages, ice cream, snacks, and hot chocolate.
