About Hasaki

Hasaki is a restaurant that serves high-quality sushi, with some options flown in directly from Japan. The menu features a variety of dishes, including edamame, agedashi tofu, chawan mushi, sashimi, maki rolls, and individual sushi pieces. The service is excellent, with staff being friendly, attentive, and courteous, providing hot towels and refilling drinks promptly. The food is fresh and delicious, with standout dishes like the miso soup, seaweed salad with ginger tahini dressing, and Goma-Ae (steamed spinach with sesame sauce). Guests have noted that the fish is impeccably fresh, with each piece melting in the mouth. The grilled black cod with red miso is described as yummy, while the scallop, uni, and eels are fantastic. However, some found the otoro a bit chewy and the handroll disappointing due to a non-crunchy seaweed wrap. Recently remodeled, the restaurant now boasts a beautiful omakase bar that enhances the cozy atmosphere. It is a great spot for those who appreciate good sushi. While the service can be a bit over-attentive, it is noted that the staff are attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance and hospitality from Chef Naoto make it a worthwhile visit. Hasaki is described as a hidden gem, offering one of the best values for authentic Japanese omakase in Manhattan, and highly recommended for a great omakase experience.

The best Shrimp Shumai i have ever had. Also try the fried chicken. The wait staff is so nice and really takes care of you.
I had a great time at Hasaki. From the stairway in to the bathrooms in the back, the place is dripping in a calming, Japanese atmosphere. The service was lovely, all the servers felt friendly and relaxing. The food was exceptional, as sushi tends to be, but the overall experience combined with the quality of the food makes for a nice time.
Incredible omakase experience. Super attentive staff. Only took one photo (the food was that good)
