Hidden Tiger NYC is an absolute must-visit, especially for those who love real hip hop culture. The vibe is unmatched, intimate, energetic, and effortlessly cool. The drinks are incredibly well-balanced and genuinely delicious, with standout options like lychee martinis and fantastic whiskeys, plus sake is served. Service is phenomenal, with staff like Rina being attentive and unmatched in hospitality, and owner Cliff being genuine and kind. Music-wise, DJ Heavy Hands spins straight fire with 90s hip hop and deep cuts, while other nights feature 2000s era hip hop/rnb and Latin music that gets everyone dancing all night. The food hits exactly how you would expect, with a heavy Korean street food influence. The dragon wings and bao buns are a must, but the tteokbokki, especially the brown butter & sage version, is a total trip. The mango mochi is a great start. Formerly Fat Buddha, this place is a staple in the neighborhood with great events like Oodles of O’s. The renovated interior and art installations are phenomenal. Hidden Tiger nails that rare combination: great music, great drinks, great food, and an authentic vibe.
