Based on the reviews, Icy Melon is a clean spot with good service and friendly staff. The atmosphere is cozy and not very noisy. There is limited seating inside, but many people buy and eat on the street. The bathroom is large and very clean for those dining in.
The desserts are very delicious. Popular choices include the waffle, mango sundae, warm black sesame soup with mochi, Taro paste, black rice with red bean, and fruit tea. The fruit tea is super fresh and fruity, not too sweet, and very refreshing. The mango mochi ice cream and hot woodear and almond soup are also available. Some found the matcha milk tasted like store bought powder.
The restaurant is pricey and not as good value as other options in the area. There is no cash discount despite signs, and the restaurant does not serve water. Some felt unwelcome by the workers.
