Le Grainne Cafe Reviews
Go to Resto near the Whitney. Delicious crêpes and other French cuisine. Tarte Tatin was hugely disappoting though. The pastry crust was exquisite but très peu and the rest was composed of quarter chunks of caramelized apple, only made palatable w vanilla ice cream, of which there was très peu.
This is a lovely little and sweet cafe. A little brasserie with a heart. Very authentically French with wonderful crepes, both savory and sweet, omelets and more. Close to the high line.
The brunch was egg-selent. My partner had a great, standard breakfast. I had the "müseli" which was a heavily sweetened granola with large fruit pieces. Their almond croissant tasted like street-side candied almonds which was unexpected, but exciting. All in all, I would go again. Only caveat was that it was unclear what their AC machines were doing because it was so hot we were both sweating, but we could hear them running.
