I was walking to the west side of Manhattan and needed coffee and a snack. I passed by this Le Pain on 6th Ave between 55th and 56th streets.
I walked in to place my order for a decaf Americano and a chocolate scone. Coffee was made just right and the scone was delicious.
Service people were very pleasant and my order was ready without delay.
They were not too busy when I was there so I found a place to sit easily.

The restaurant is a cool spot with quality morning bites and coffees in Midtown, especially if you are staying near Hilton Midtown. Customers can't go wrong with any of those donut selections along with Belgian cream-filled morning joy. The French cream donut for $7.35 to go is very tasty and well made, though customers should be aware that the take-out box does not prevent powdered sugar from getting everywhere. The full menu is available all day, and the food, like the ham and gruyere on croissant with an egg and the yogurt parfait, is divine and reminds customers of European cafes. The cold brew on tap is also a hit.
