soooo disappointed. i had high hopes and ordered the 6 multipack pudding so i can give them serve, share and give away for christmas. the pudding arrived warm and didn't taste good. i tried tasting it before sharing it and i had a tummy ache and diarrhea after. reached out to magnolia to resolve things and i'm stuck in a claim process. not how i envisioned the product, not how i expect the situation be handled. never again will i order from Magnolia Bakery and i definitely...read full review
Nationwide delivery does not work. No customer service available by phone, no way to correct incorrect delivery, and extremely slow customer service, so no way to deal with issues. The result: sad people on special occasions with no cupcakes.

Magnolia Bakery on Bleecker Street is a small, pink and white shop that has been on this corner for decades. It became a genuine cultural moment after a famous TV show put it on the map, but the cupcakes were already doing the work long before that. The shop is tiny and a little cramped, with display cases up front packed with cakes, pies, and rows of cupcakes. There is pretty much no seating inside, so people have to eat outside. The banana pudding is what people come here for and it absolutely delivers. It is delicious, creamy, and worth the hype, with layers of vanilla wafers, fresh banana, and pudding that is not overly sweet. The key lime cheesecake is also a star, with a great balance of tart and sweet and a fantastic crust. The classic vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream is a highlight, with frosting swirled high and sweet without being cloying. The red velvet is properly tangy from cream cheese frosting. The icebox cake is dense and chocolatey. The staff work hard and keep things efficient, so lines move quickly even when they look long. It is touristy, but the quality holds up regardless of the crowd.
