Massawa Reviews
I was just in Massawa, it was the most beautiful country
They stated they are the oldest Ethiopian restaurant in the city. Nice space and presentation. Overall pricy, and small portion. Everything good but nothing really stood out.
Slow-cooked lamb was beautiful. Mild flavor but still rich. Potato and carrot were more than meat tho.
Spiced chicken was the same. Nice taste but the chicken was slightly dry.

Wonderful, very tasty - everything was delicious, everything was shareable. The staff were so friendly. 11/10
I would've taken pictures but we ate everything to fast.

Massawa, a renowned restaurant, offers a unique and educational dining experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and provides exceptional hospitality. The mixed vegan vegetable tray, including Lentos mustard greens, is a standout dish, while the FUL and the chicken sambusas are also highly recommended. The restaurant provides good veggie options and some gluten-free injira. The delicious food is served in generous portions at reasonable prices. Massawa creates a cozy and vibrant atmosphere, though the service can sometimes be slow. Overall, the restaurant provides a memorable dining experience, with a welcoming staff and a wide selection of traditional and modern Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine.
