“LOVE this restaurant, and the folks that work here are tops. Ravagh Persian Grill was introduced to me by my Persian bestie whose mom used to make me the stews I love. My favorite stew is the Khoresh Fesenjan, but I also love getting the Sultani Kebob. And top it off with the Faloodeh at the end. YUM. It's a lovely neighborhood spot with authentic dishes. The quality of the food was superb and always fresh. “Persepolis has been in our neighborhood for years but we never got there. It's a spacious but intimate-feeling restaurant with very attentive, friendly service and excellent (and abundant!) food. Also a range of very good variations on the mojito! The eggplant appetizers and, of course, kebabs are excellent. Very nice decor.“

I should not that I had a late dinner here after a day of traveling, so I didn't try as many dishes as I would normally try.Food: I savored the Eggplant and Whey Dip, a symphony of roasted eggplant, crispy onions, cured whey yogurt, and mint oil that danced on my palate with exquisite flavor. “The best cocktails I’ve had in NY. Kashke bademjoon was so good. Mast musir and whipped feta so good as well as Barbari nan. Mushroom Kebab very good. I didn’t like the Tah Dig (Krispy rice) it was like Tah Chin without chicken in a sauce. Will I go there again!? Hell yeah!“

“Such a lovely dinner! Food made my mouth water and had so much flavor. I had the hummus and chicken, both fantastic. Highlight was when the team brought me out a sample of the fesenjoon at the end of the meal because they wanted me to try it and I’d been torn at the start of the meal. Absolutely worth it. Very cozy, will certainly be back!“

“Came in for brunch as two and we just sat ourselves (waiter was somewhere in the back) and scanned the QR code~ the salad dressing for the kale salad was on the sweet and not as tangy side~also ordered the brunch platter w/ the egg, fruit (strawberries and blueberries), hummus (tiny portion), bread (4 pieces) and scrambled egg~ the salad part was a bit sad.. pieces of cilantro and some walnuts.. order took a while but that just means everything is freshly made but would I go there again??…mmm not for brunch.. maybe the rice is what I should have gotten~ first time trying Persian food so that was a cool experience“
“We ordered tahdig with gheimeh bademjan which was perfect. Tahdig was awesome. We also ordered koobideh, we liked it, but it was not the best we had in persian restaurants. Service was very good. We asked for more grilled tomato and they added 2 more grilled tomato for no extra charge.“

The menu has both the traditional Persian kebabs and signature stews as well as more regional and usual dishes - both equally delicious. The desserts are fantastic. “I’m a Persian American originally from LA and this is one of the best Persian restaurants I have been to. I am so impressed with the original recipes of the food and the ability to train the cooks to maintain loyalty to the original dish. The ingredients they use are high quality. My dad is an excellent cook and when I eat at Shiraz I feel like I am eating back at home. I should also mention I am a vegetarian and really appreciate the new vegan options - the gheimeh (vegetable stew) is a must. And the saffron ice cream — it’s what perfume would taste like if it were edible. The jazz band (with the clarinet) also created such a nice atmosphere.
