My husband brought me here for Mother’s Day and we had an early dinner around 3pm and it wasn’t crowded at all. We ordered: the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice appetizer. It was so AMAZING that we ordered another one. For our meal we had the “Hangry”. It was the BEST suishi we’ve ever had. This is the first place that I’ve eaten at that serves a full sized individual roll (not sliced) made fresh as you eat it. Good service but hand rolls are average at best: mushy rice and fish to rice ratio isn’t great.
Temakase Hand Roll Bar - 2nd Ave is a go-to place for sushi. The hand rolls are amazing, crispy, fresh, and quick, with each one having its own distinct taste. The spicy hand roll combo has so much flavor. The hungry menu is available, with classic and spicy options. The miso soup is great, and the crunchy cucumber hand roll and avocado roll are delicious. The service is amazing, fast, attentive, and nice. The staffs are very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The intimate dining experience with the chef drives the value. The atmosphere has a mellow modern vibe and is a pretty chill place to hang out with friends. It is a serious hidden gem and the best sushi in all of New York.
