The food was excellent but I was hoping for freshly roasted coffee beans from a local or small roaster rather than a massive company (La Colombe.) I didn't end up getting a coffee since I was there specifically thinking I'd be getting some quality beans but ended up just getting food instead. There are a half dozen coffee shops in the area serving quality beans, though if you're in the area and just want a quick cup of coffee with some breakfast, this certainly beats a bodega.
First trip to The Commons and was immediately greeted by the welcoming staff as soon as we walked in - very friendly and provided us with honest recommendations.Quick Thoughts:The cold brew was nice and refreshing. Pretty good food and service. Nice iced tea, too. I met someone here for a business meeting and it was honestly not great for that. Seating limited to 4-5 small outdoor tables including 2 tables in a street parking takeover shed. Cute counter service with friendly staff (nice, rare in these parts). We were lucky to score one of the tables in the shed and that the weather was nice; otherwise, it wouldn't have worked at all.
