We met old friends at the members dining room, and were given a wonderful table overlooking Central Park. The waitress was unusually helpful, and efficient. I had been to this dining room before and found it quite disappointing for brunch, but I chose the chicken franchise and found it to be delicious. Service was good. A little disappointing when I left and five minutes later came back realizing I left my new silk scarf there. The restaurant was almost empty, but the two waiters who were there knew nothing about my silk scarf. I doubt it. Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I love going here for lunch. It's a special treat for out-of-town visitors who are astonished to be in this lovely room with its views of Cleopatra's Needle and the Park. The food is excellent and they have a lovely wine list. All in all, a great place to dine in New York's #1 Tourist attraction. And before and after lunch you can explore it to your heart's content.
