So glad to finally have a solid Cantonese restaurant in UWS. Not cheap but it is to be expected given the prime location in UWS. Have had two dinners so far since opening. I am a Cantonese native and have eaten at many of the finest Cantonese restaurants around the world, especially in Hong Kong and Vancouver. Really lovely place for dim sum, every day cart service. Great selection. The full kitchen opens at 11:00 and they’ve got a wide ranging menu. The interior is unusually nice for a dim sum place and the staff is very pleasant.
I was hiking nearby with my daughter and came across Wu’s Dynasty. We decided to stop in for lunch. The restaurant features beautiful authentic Chinese‑style decor, it is brand‑new and exceptionally clean. We ordered wonton soup and spring rolls. I loved both dishes very much, they tasted wonderful. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area!

Wu's Dynasty is a Cantonese restaurant on the UWS. Reviews describe a large, festive but bright dining room with beautiful authentic Chinese-style decor. The restaurant is brand-new and exceptionally clean, with an interior unusually nice for a dim sum place. The front desk staff is very friendly and the staff is very pleasant.
The food is described as excellent, with quality ingredients cooked with care. Not greasy, not heavy, just good old Cantonese fare. Dishes mentioned include Peking Duck, pea shoots, Beef with Scallions, Aberdeen style (salt and pepper) Dungeness crab, Yang Chow fried rice, wonton soup, scallop fried rice, spring rolls, crab 3 ways, steamed crab over wide rice noodles, soup dumplings, steamed fish, sautéed peashoots, razor clams, fried anchovies, sautéed Chinese Broccoli, lobster with sticky rice, whole fried chicken, short ribs, lo mein noodles, and Lamb chops. The Peking Duck is flavorful, moist with a crisp skin and plenty of delicate thin pancakes. Dim sum is delicious with every day cart service and a great selection, better than some Chinatown restaurants. The full kitchen opens at 11:00 and they've got a wide ranging menu. The taste and texture are very good, though a bit modified in ingredients and style.
On the downside, the overhead lighting is harsh, the service was lax, and the presentation sloppy. The serving spoon for the hoisin sauce was a disposable plastic spoon. Not cheap but expected given the prime location. Awesome for big parties and families, great for large groups to enjoy meals family style. A genuine Chinatown experience but more conveniently located on the UWS.
