“I walked into this place without much research, just saw a high star rating and proximity from where I was at that time. I thought they offer traditional Japanese style ramen. If that’s what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. The staff, service, and overall vibe were great. I ordered the Classic ramen and it was nothing like the ramen I am used to. Although it was eatable, but too oily and black peppery, it was just a different kind of noodle soup dish. I have tried various styles of ramen in Japan so I can say safely that this is definitely “inspired” by them but not a traditional Japanese ramen.
I see many enjoyed their style so it seems to meet their tastes. Just not my bowl of ramen. That’s all. Again, super friendly staff. No hard feelings.“

“Delicious! The Lunch Bento Box is huge and very reasonably priced for all that you get. 1st you are served a small mixed greens salad with a very tasty homemade ginger dressing. Next was a bowl of miso soup, also very good. Then a beautiful leaf shaped dish arrived with the most delicious full sized sushi roll. We had the vegetable tempura roll that had tempura broccoli, zucchini and sweet potato in it. After that course, the actual Bento box arrived with sliced NY strip steak teriyaki. Cooked perfectly. There was also a portion of white rice, 3 shumai pieces and if that wasn't enough: there was also a section with tempura shrimp, pumpkin, zucchini and sweet potato. Needless to say we walked out of here stuffed and very satisfied. The price was extremely reasonable for ALL that you get and everything was tasty and fresh. Definitely worth going to. And the restaurant has a very calming decor.“

I don't really like ice cream (i know, that's crazy right?), but my husband and my kids always go to this place so I decided to try it. It's a super friendly place that's owned by a wonderful couple (Craig & Giselle, I think? I don't really know if that's how she spells it), but I never wanted to try the ice cream. Except today. I tried the passion fruit flavor - and my God, there's nothing like it! You really have to taste it - it's so yummy. Our non plant based family had the crispy chicken burger. We shared sweet potato fries, sweet potato tater tots and onion rings. The onion stayed in the coating when you bit in to them. I requested a ham, COOKED/SAUTÉED ONION & American cheese omelet, fries and RYE toast with crispy bacon. My omelet was well done, the onions RAW, fries were ice cold my bacon was not cooked and not there had to tell the runner, and my toast was marble. All this for OVER &50.00!!! The server came by, we were basically finished. Asked how everything was. How would he or the runner know our order. Neither one looked at the order. NEVER AGAIN!!!“

Every time I go with my wife to visit our son who is at Hofstra despite trying to go to different venues to grab a bite before we head back to Jersey. We always end up at black label because the food is so good, the service is great the people are very friendly and the service is quick. If you’re in Hempstead or Westbury and looking for a good burger, good hotdog in a simple atmosphere black label is my first choice.“

People enjoying good mex food are more enjoyable to be around for some reason..anyway...lighting as with most place is difficult to read menu but once the order was in,alot of fun...I noticed the food to be very FRESH...I immediately tasted that in the beans on my Mexican special and the Flautas,chimichanga etc were all delicious stuffed and perfectly cooked!..Fajita steak was so nicely marinated and charred but med inside..Perfect!..Wait staff were all very pleasant....I enjoyed my visit and will defin visit during a slow day,maybe lunch for a lil more quiet....“
