“The food tasted delicious from the flatbread to the dessert. Philly cheesesteak flatbread was amazing as was the steak and lobster. It was properly cooked and tasted great. The waitress was ok the soda cups were empty but the cocktail weren't. The cocktails kept coming out but the soda never did.“

“Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

I was, however, disappointed because 1) they ran out of the Miso Dumplings & 2) the Miso Salmon was seriously overcooked. Our server (Jasmine) was so very accommodating & understanding - she sent me home with the Salt & Pepper Prawns & oh man, that's what I should have ordered originally!!! People enjoying good mex food are more enjoyable to be around for some reason..anyway...lighting as with most place is difficult to read menu but once the order was in,alot of fun...I noticed the food to be very FRESH...I immediately tasted that in the beans on my Mexican special and the Flautas,chimichanga etc were all delicious stuffed and perfectly cooked!..Fajita steak was so nicely marinated and charred but med inside..Perfect!..Wait staff were all very pleasant....I enjoyed my visit and will defin visit during a slow day,maybe lunch for a lil more quiet....“
