“I visited this place with a friend who serves here while visiting Long Island. The setting is very friendly. I got their soup of the day which was some vegetable mix; it was alright. Their bread was served warm and fresh. For my entree I ordered the steak quesadilla which was put of this world! Their home made pico dip complimented the dish well. The service was top notch. The busser gave me a drink to-go and a bag for my food. Despite being on the pricer side, is a great place for a casual evening or a serious date.“

“I made a huge order because i was ordering for my office. The gentleman who helped me over the phone for my pick up order was very patient. I had three different orders with special instructions and all separate payments. Yes, i knew it was a lot. He kept his professionalism and grace. As soon as i was greeted by a nice lady at the register when i told her my name my order was close by being prepared. The service was fast and friendly. The gentleman who helped me over the phone let me know we were waiting for my fries and he prepared a lemonade which went with the upgrade for one of my orders. While waiting for the fries we shared a nice small talk about the great service and he let me know getting the lemonade was a better deal than the can soda because the lemonade was 20 ounces and the van was 12 ounces. The staff was great! Now to the food. I tipped in the jar because it’s a great experience. It only got better when he helped me to my car. He placed the food neatly in my car. I started with my appetizer the mini crab cakes. You get five for $10.95. They were seasoned nicely to taste and perfectly baked outside batter. May have been imitation crab meat but hey they were good! The macaroni salad that came with my pastrami Mac melt wasn’t the best. They used rigatoni noodles instead of elbow and it was dry. The Mayo was at the bottom of the cup. I doctored that up and it was okay. But boyyyyy did the pastrami Mac melt melt my taste buds! Wow is all i can say! Temperature wise the food was hot and fresh. The taste of the pastrami was so delicious and savory it went perfectly with the type of bread that was used. The Mac was cheesy and also seasoned (i noticed the pepper) went so well with the meat! I also like that their burgers and fries are not too oily/greasy. The restaurant space is nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. “I was there on Sunday night at 6pm for a quick drink (I don't drink but am always a designated driver to my sister and brother) on a Sunday afternoon/early evening and that's really all it's good for at that hour a quick drink. Well actually I lied, that and the bartender Rebecca. She's a cute shorter petite cute girl with some nice tats and cool to talk to and she's real cute. She also gives great advice to people that ask, especially in the love department since she's a girl. She was able to help give me some insight as to how I can try and get a girl because I'm a little shy and have some personal issues like everyone that make me lack confidence. She was even a great therapist dealing with the local drunks that were there feeling sorry for themselves. She knew how to handle people no matter what type of person they were. So as you can tell the best thing about this place at this hour up until about 645-7pm is her on Sunday lol. She knows how to mix a drink also which is obviously nice for a bartender lol. Anyway it's a good place to go to for a quick Sunday drink and on the Friday and Saturday of the weekend it's always a good time with with lots of people and it's a lot of fun.Parking: There is a big parking lot behind the bar where it shares parking with a ton of stores. Both were overall very good with fresh, high quality ingredients and an excellent brioche style roll. The main problem we had was the burgers were a bit too greasy and excessively juicy which kept us from giving a 5 star rating.. It was difficult eating these burgers without making a mess and the fatty juices were flowing out like a fountain. Despite this these are still probably the best burgers in Queens due to high quality ingredients and being very tasty. The service was quick and friendly! “My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. My kids love the chicken fingers from there but they always end up taking a bite of one of my burgers. Big helpings of fries which are balanced perfectly with salt.
