In every basket I include the three items that are a part of an old traditional house blessing: “Bread—that this house may never know hunger, Salt—that life may always have flavor, and Wine—that joy and prosperity may reign forever” I always use small, local businesses for the products to make and fill my basket. Especially the bread! I want it to be same-day fresh, and from a bakery as close to the client’s new home as possible. Well, yesterday I had a final walkthrough with a client in the Scottholm neighborhood, and Tous Les Jours was the closest option. Boy was I blown away by every detail of this shop!! It was pristine, every item and every surface sparkled and gleamed, there were so many delicious looking pastries and so many I had never seen before! The chefs were dressed in beautiful gingham uniforms and chatted with us as easily as if they had known us for years. I will definitely be going back many times. And my clients very much appreciated the delicious, authentic French Baguette!“

“Wow! I thought this place was going to be social media hype! Boy was a wrong! My daughter wanted to try these cookies and they did not disappoint. The cookies we soft, chewy, and warm. The variety was impressive. These cookies were hug! We were able to share and sample all the flavors and my children loved that. The only off putting part about this place is none of the workers actually talk to or great you. We came in and no one looked up from what they were doing. (It is an open kitchen concept, so to their defense they were making cookies ) when my order was ready the person who gave us out cookies didn’t say a word to us. It felt cold. The cookies made up for the lack of customer interaction. My daughter was excited enough for the entire crew.“

“Update to refresh review. Amazing as ever. Still stand by my previous statement that if I didn't know better, I wouldn't believe their vegan baked goods were vegan. Donuts (best vegan donut I've ever had and I've been to some of the places everyone says are soooo good), croissants (as good as I remember croissants in Paris!), Just get there early as the best stuff usually sells out fast! They also have some savory options like the vegan brunchy sandwich on focaccia or crosspoint (tofu egg, seitan, PMA feta, cashew creme, chipotle aioli). Gluten friendly items available. I give the two young women who run this place a 5 star rating for friendliness, greeting new coustimers as old friends, and granting me a free cookie as a firsttimer! “Ate here for the first time on my lunch break today. There is an accessible entry ramp around the side of the building. It leads to the kitchen door, though, so I advise you to call ahead if you need to use it. There was only 1 server on this afternoon, and they handled things like a champ! I had the oreo french toast and it was delightful! It was sweet, but not overwhelmingly so; chocolatey, but without being so rich that you quit halfway through. Having a dessert for a meal that still felt like "real food" and not like I was just giving in to my inner-kid (well, maybe a little) was exactly the pick-me-up I needed on a dreary day like today. Because I'm a dope, I forgot my wallet back in the office. They do offer tap-to-pay here, but for whatever reason, my phone didn't want to cooperate. I offered to leave something behind as collateral while I ran back to work to grab my wallet, and the server actually comped my meal! They absolutely did not have to do that. I would've been more than happy to come back and pay. It was my own fault, anyway! I will definitely return another day (with my wallet!) and am so grateful for the kindness and understanding I received today.“

“What a great place to find while I was in Syracuse. I walk to the back of the Asia Food Market and the wonderful smell hits you in the face! I picked out probably too many baked goods, they were all so delicious. I can't wait to come back and pick a whole new set of treats to try.“
