“I give all my buyer clients gift baskets when they close on a new home. In every basket I include the three items that are a part of an old traditional house blessing: “Bread—that this house may never know hunger, Salt—that life may always have flavor, and Wine—that joy and prosperity may reign forever” I always use small, local businesses for the products to make and fill my basket. Especially the bread! I want it to be same-day fresh, and from a bakery as close to the client’s new home as possible. Well, yesterday I had a final walkthrough with a client in the Scottholm neighborhood, and Tous Les Jours was the closest option. Boy was I blown away by every detail of this shop!! It was pristine, every item and every surface sparkled and gleamed, there were so many delicious looking pastries and so many I had never seen before! The chefs were dressed in beautiful gingham uniforms and chatted with us as easily as if they had known us for years. I will definitely be going back many times. And my clients very much appreciated the delicious, authentic French Baguette!“

“Wow! I thought this place was going to be social media hype! Boy was a wrong! My daughter wanted to try these cookies and they did not disappoint. The cookies we soft, chewy, and warm. The variety was impressive. These cookies were hug! We were able to share and sample all the flavors and my children loved that. The only off putting part about this place is none of the workers actually talk to or great you. We came in and no one looked up from what they were doing. (It is an open kitchen concept, so to their defense they were making cookies ) when my order was ready the person who gave us out cookies didn’t say a word to us. It felt cold. The cookies made up for the lack of customer interaction. My daughter was excited enough for the entire crew.“

“Update to refresh review. Amazing as ever. Still stand by my previous statement that if I didn't know better, I wouldn't believe their vegan baked goods were vegan. Donuts (best vegan donut I've ever had and I've been to some of the places everyone says are soooo good), croissants (as good as I remember croissants in Paris!), Just get there early as the best stuff usually sells out fast! They also have some savory options like the vegan brunchy sandwich on focaccia or crosspoint (tofu egg, seitan, PMA feta, cashew creme, chipotle aioli). Gluten friendly items available.
