China 19 Reviews
I was a solo traveler waiting for the bus and I came here back in March 2025 because my bus back to my school wasn't until 6 PM. I was hungry and trekked 8 minutes in the snow in wet boots. I just wanted to leave this review to thank you for back then for being so hospitable to a young, starving girl. I was scared that I would starve and you guys took good care of me back then. If I ever make the journey back to Oneonta I will stop by.
I honestly don't know why there is so much hate on the reviews. This is one of the best Chinese places I have ever eaten at. Both sit down and for take out. Rival competitor and fake reviews maybe?
Good local Chinese food. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken and it was really good. The chicken was crispy, the sauce was flavorful, and the portion was enough for one person or even leftovers. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but the food is fresh and satisfying. I would order it again.

China 19 is a popular Chinese restaurant known for its extensive menu and fresh sushi. The restaurant offers a family-friendly atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. While they may not always accommodate special requests, they remain a reliable local take-out option. The menu features a variety of Chinese dishes, including the classic General Tso's chicken and chicken and broccoli, as well as a selection of sushi rolls. Customers have praised the restaurant's sushi, with one reviewer stating that it consistently has the freshest rolls in town. The restaurant also offers a variety of dinner specials, including poke bowls and pu pu platters, at a reasonable price point. Parking can be challenging during peak hours, but the restaurant's large seating area makes it a convenient dining destination. Recent reviews mention that the food is good, especially the poke bowl and shrimp toast, which is highly recommended. The staff is friendly, though the interior isn’t very appealing, so many prefer takeout. Some dishes like Egg Foo Young received mixed reviews, with the egg pancake being superb but the gravy too salty. Overall, China 19 remains a dependable spot for Chinese food and sushi.
