“Bife a Portuguesa and shrimp in garlic were excellent, as was the bread (from a Portuguese bakery in NJ). Who knew there was good Portuguese food so much closer than the Ironbound? Service was solid and friendly. You can eat at the bar and a few tables in the front, which I recommend doing, as the back room is a bit claustrophobic. They really need to update the prices on their menu in Google Maps, however, as they have doubled.“

“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there. “Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert.
