The wine bar itself has a rather intimate atmosphere where it's nice and cozy in the morning or down right romantic in the evening hours.

The staff are all kind, amiable and are very happy to provide service with a smile. With the owner himself making appearances and checking in with customers to make sure they are happy.

Immediately upon entering, you are made to feel welcome at home, as if you’ve been going there for decades. Evan has tapped into a need this neighborhood has lacked for some time, which is just a friendly bar with an elevated yet unpretentious menu at reasonable prices. It’s the most common sense idea and yet bars constantly miss it. Also top-notch toilet paper in the bathroom.“

Lauren and Pamela were friendly and knowledgeable hosts who made our afternoon into a very enjoyable experience. They told us about our different wine options, what foods they would pair well with, about various seasonal varieties not currently available that we could return and try, and were just fun in general to chat with. “Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. “Had a two-night stay at the Marriott in Teaneck, NJ, and ate at Pancetta. Highly recommend asking for Moni—she was exceptionally busy but still managed to give us attentive, excellent service. Food-wise, my margarita was a bit sharp, but some agave fixed it right up. My wife’s Prosecco was perfect, and her chicken parmigiana was tender and delicious. My braised lamb shank had great flavor, though it was a bit too chewy for my liking. Overall, a good spot to check out if you're in the area!“

“Very good place for Neapolitan-style pizza. We started off with grilled artichoke hearts with lemon vinaigrette & shaved pecorino toscano - a nice antipasto - and then shared two pizzas: the spicy Picca (tomato sauce, fontina, hot sausage, red onions, chillies) and the Norma (tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta, pecorino, garlic & basil).

Both were really good - with soft, pillowy, lightly-charred Neapolitan-style crust - but the zesty Picca had the edge (the Norma was slightly bland / under seasoned).

“So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

I’ve been coming to the Oak House regularly, pretty much since the day they opened! It immediately became my favorite spot, for several reasons, first and foremost of the food is phenomenal, literally every bite of every menu item is delicious. They have a beautiful and unique cocktail menu, and their bartenders are spectacular. On top of all of that, the vibes are immaculate. All of the staff is great, super friendly, and accommodating. “Caught up with a friend for drinks and dinner...the place is quaint, with a great, lively vibe. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Linda, one of the bartenders. She was absolutely a joy, smiling and chatting while she served us up our drinks, then meticulously prepared the dipping oil for our warm bread. After taking our order, Linda served us two very large portions. I had a pasta dish with rigatoni that was made fresh that day. (The bar is connected to an Italian restaurant, which is a separate business, but they work seamlessly to provide customers in both establishments a terrific dining experience. The live music was fabulous, with a great mix of classic hits performed by very talented musicians. We opted not to get dessert and left with our bellies full and our hearts content. Parking was a little bit of a challenge with it being a Saturday night, but Linda informed us to use the VFW parking lot the next time around. Can't wait to check out Karaoke night on Wednesdays. “I’m a snobby ktown LA born Korean American who lived in Korea. I talk crap about most Korean places because they’re just not as good as the west coast but this is by far the absolute best Korean bbq place in all of NJ/NY. Hands down. Super OG place that does actual charcoal grills you literally feel like you’re transported back to the 90’s getting fed Korean bbq at the only spot your parents went to. The place that you went for every graduation, special occasion and celebration. It really doesn’t get better than this.“

“Loved the super friendly staff, including the owner who stopped by to ask how everything was going; the menu was quite varied and healthy, & lattes great, especially the 2 seasonal ones we tried; ambiance delightful — lots of sunlight, good mix of seating, cheerful decor w. lots of goods from local farmers & vendors in market section, free WiFi, & location central to subway & bus stops, though on edge of busy and bit chaotic traffic circle, making cafe signage not as prominently ideal. Outdoor seating a big plus during warmer months which this clearly wasn’t, but chairs still optimistically there :D

Cafe works hard to operate sustainably and therefore participates in an innovative local program that offers recycling of fresh flower arrangements post their short life at a special event, so not wasted. Very creative!

“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there.
