“After noticing how many reviews are either poor or downright bad I felt the need to stick up for this place! Yes - the atmosphere is a bit rough as they only do takeout and Covid definitely smacked this place upside down just like many other restaurants BUT this has been my favorite place to buy Chinese food for years! I love the service and I always choose this place to order General Tsos over multiple places in Middletown and the surrounding areas.“

“This place is by far one of the best Chinese food restaurants in all of the east coast. The fried chicken wings are crispy, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. They also have hot sauce and soy sauce and duck sauce, all original sauces. Love a side of egg fried rice with chicken wings. Food is always hot and on time. I have been coming here for years. “We've been eating here since I was a kid and it's always been the best place around. In my opinion they have the best sesame chicken and it beats all the other Chinese food places! There's are always crispy with the perfect amount of sauce and heat, whereas others are always swimming in sauce! They're appetizers are also amazing. I've never been disappointed eating/getting food here (and that's been for atleast 10+ years). Always highly recommend and call ahead for an easy pick-up :)“

“This place was a huge surprise to discover in Slate Hill! I had no idea it was even here until one day desperately searching for somewhere with some decent Chinese or Japanese food in the area after growing disappointment with some old "favorites" in the Sussex area, and Middletown. While it might look dodgy from the outside and there's no indoor service (just a pick up window), the food is legit good. Generous amounts of meat in the Chinese dishes (especially like the pork with black bean sauce), well cooked (vegetables still with some "bite" and shrimp tender, not overcooked and rubbery). Only tried one or two sushi rolls so far and they were fine if not exceptional, too. Can get a lot of food for the price, and I like their online ordering system as well. Hong Fu has now become a regular stop for me when visiting family in the area.“

I will take the long drive to get the food they serve. It’s very flavorful. Food preparation is on point once in a while if there is a problem, you bring it to their attention, and they will handle it to your satisfaction .
I wish they would open the dining area that is about it.

“I drive 8 hours to Middletown from NC to eat this coconut chicken ( and also see my family but one is way more important )… it’s so delicious and can’t really be found anywhere else. Go here order coconut chicken and be happy. I really want the recipe so I don’t have to only eat this once a year or so…“

“Number one will not disappoint, it's the only place we eat Chinese food. Well cooked food with restaurant quality, the rice is just right not salty. The chicken is tasty without the need to over season it, but get the ribs or rib tips are delicious and the Lo mein with shrimp in garlic sauce amazing. They have seafood, egg rolls , crab dragoon with dipping sauce and more. What makes this place amazing the staff they pride in how they cook and serve their customers.“

“I really didn't have any expectations at first. But the lady here is amazingly sweet. A man came in with no money and fed him. She said she does it a lot because people have to eat. She better than she gave full meals i would've given an egg roll and some water. Food was really good taste like old school Chinese food. And she had some banging crap sticks my favorite.“
