Tough choice what to order.I opted for Panini Italiano, ham cappicola, genoa salami, mortadella, provolone cheese, with sun dried tomatoes, spinach and red onions, very good.My wife chose the Fried Eggplant panini with roasted peppers and feta cheese. her complaint was that the eggplant was dry.“

“Thank God there are still places like this on Long Island. Old school Italian deli. I stopped by because I was in the area and read the reviews. Ordered an Italian hero with hot cherry peppers. Just delicious. Ate half brought my wife the rest. Ofcourse I can't wait for the hero to be made and not grab a Manhattan special vanilla creme soda.... and a fresh Mozz.... and a loaf of Italian bread.. lol. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

“On April 19th placed an order for pick their Easter Special roasted honey turkey, honey baked ham and side dishes. The staff members helpful, polite and courteous. My Easter dinner delicious. They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

They put like 5 kinds of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, etc...all on a sesame seed hero. We got two drinks and they even threw in a couple cookies on the house! The people are very friendly, looks family owned, definitely keep it clean, and seem to have a big local following. “The owners here take the time to get to know their customers, it says a lot about a deli/convenience store that has "regulars"! On many occasions, when looking for a specific item, the owner would tell me he'll order it, he's also asked if there's anything else I'd request be carried in the store. The deli sandwiches are really good, and not at all expensive. The rest of the store carries convenience store items with prices that are competitive (especially considering this is a privately owned, small business) There are plenty of chain stores in the area, but if you get a chance check out this locally owned business“

“La Fonda Deli is amazing! The food tastes authentic and is made with fresh ingredients which really makes a difference. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect to enjoy with family or friends. “Food is decent; my husband loves their breakfast and Philly cheesesteak. I would have given 5 stars, but I ordered breakfast here this weekend. I was accidentally given French fries instead of the French toast. This is not that big of a deal but the man at the counter argued with me that I ordered French fries, instead of offering to fix the $40 order. It was 8:50am and I already had ordered hash browns with my breakfast; I wouldn’t have ordered French fries with that.“
