“This crazy story is true. I ordered a special order cake and due to a family emergency, I forgot to pick it up. It was for my son's birthday in HOBOKEN NJ. When I realized I got to Hoboken without the cake, my family all agreed to chip in for an Uber to pick up the cake and bring it to us ($90 mistake for us). When the cake arrived, it was someone else's cake. Maybe we had the same last name, not sure. I spoke with Mike, the manager, and he personally drove the cake to Hoboken, NJ at no charge. That would be 3 1/2 hours round trip. He refused a tip, too. I am still so blown away by this level of care that I wish I could eat carvel every week. Thank you Carvel Oyster Bay. We believe in kindness, humanity and always support local business because of you. P.S. The cake was beautiful.“

“Coffee tastes are very individual. I happen to like plain old Dunkin'. If you want fancy coffee, you might do better at the higher-priced stand. The store in the Pine Hollow Shopping Center is wonderful. The manager (Sutha) keeps the food and beverages moving out at a good pace even at the busiest times. He still finds time to greet you and usually asks if you want your "usual". The rest of the staff is friendly and efficient.“

“Guys, I have to share my experience at Let's Roll because it was wonderful. I don't really like ice cream (i know, that's crazy right?), but my husband and my kids always go to this place so I decided to try it. It's a super friendly place that's owned by a wonderful couple (Craig & Giselle, I think? I don't really know if that's how she spells it), but I never wanted to try the ice cream. Except today. I tried the passion fruit flavor - and my God, there's nothing like it! You really have to taste it - it's so yummy. “If you want a place to go eat with dirty hands this is the one! Bathroom is always closed but there’s an alley not too far away. You can tell management really cares about the customer experience when they keep the bathroom closed from customers. And they even have tables, that alone would be a health department violation(tables without a working bathroom) but who has time to call them anyway? I think the stuff here is delicious but it could also be the flavor from the last customer on the door handle so who knows?“

“My daughter and I happened upon this place and we were so happy we did! Chris (not sure if he was the owner or not) was super helpful since we have food allergies. He made my daughter a cotton candy milkshake which she absolutely devoured. I had a flavored coffee which was delicious. From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. Kudos to them for a really great place, definitely go visit!“

“First time trying froyo and had such an amazing time. I was greeted by a friendly staff at the front desk. He was very helpful in explaining explaining to me the process on how you get your froyo. The flavors seemed endless which was awesome and they tasted just as good as they look.“

“this was a while ago but i love ben and jerrys! such a classic brand. i got the strawberry in a small cup and it was just enough. it was very good! the staff is super nice. the only thing i will say is the air wasn't working right and i wish the AC was on. but other than that it was a nice visit. i knocked over my cup before i could eat it because it was one of those days!!! and he gave me another one no charge. such a sweet cashier.“

We reserved a table for Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal consisting of crab cakes, fried shrimp, French fries, vegetables and, for dessert, fresh homemade strawberry shortcake – reservations are rarely needed! I stumbled upon Alkemy Ice cream while looking for something unique for a birthday and the owner Alan explained how they do birthday parties almost like a show AND make the dessert. They can host a party at the shop OR they can come to you! I was unsure how it would go but Alan was super friendly, answered all my questions throughly and assured me I would love it. I more than loved it! It was the best ever and we are still talking about it. They came to my house and put on a show for the kids that even they are still talking about how cool it was. It was like having a party and adding a surprise guest with a special science experiment show for additional entertainment that makes amazing unique dessert at the end! Each ice cream was perfectly made and was fresh! The toppings were all fresh as well. Watching the show was fascinating and the kids had so much fun learning. They continued to amaze guests as they made each ice cream right there. I wasn’t sure if each kid would be waiting a while but it didn’t take long to get all the kids ice cream after the show. They whipped it up fast and everyone got to pick toppings and have a perfectly made ice cream quickly. They didn’t need a lot of room and even cleaned up! I so happy to have found them and I will be having them come back again! Start to finish was a perfect experience. I highly recommend them!!!“
