On top of the food being great the owner Ray is a super down to earth guy and understands the customer very well. This is a place I will be coming back too for sure! We stopped by this place and we're really surprised by the quality of the food and very good customer service by the owner Amir. The combo lamb and chicken over rice was outstanding. “It’s so nice to have an Egyptian grocery store close to home! I used to have to drive to astoria or bay ridge to grab basics but now I’ve started going to Al Masry. It’s also really great that they sell homemade Egyptian dishes and some are also made to order. My husband and I are so grateful to have found this place!“

The pricing was reasonable too, considering I ordered their 2 luchi platters and philly wraps. The luchi was deliciously crispy and the wrap was so filled with meat and greens, absolutely amazing! “Very clean inside and great food. Gluten free options are AMAZING and not overpriced, which is rare for gluten free. The sauces are delicious and staff is friendly with quick service. It’s also one of the only places left where you can get an actual cooked meal for less than $10 that has protein. Highly recommend!

“Came in slightly before close very hungry and was met with Shaquille. he was happy to serve myself and a couple friends lamb gyros and went into the back to get the toppings we wanted (feta, lettuce, olives, hummus good picks)
The lamb was smacking, super delicious made me feel very good. There was also another worker there who was also very nice and friendly, they even let us stay to eat as he was counting the register. Most places would be frustrated at the fact to have customers eat there at close. I’ve been here before so i know about this place, but once again i was not left disappointed. Thank you to the kind people who were able to take care of me and my friends not only just tonight, but consecutively“
