“Came up for a wedding and needed a legit breakfast spot. As I drove by, I didn’t just see this place—I smelled it! The irresistible aroma practically dragged me out of the car. The staff was super friendly, and I swear I was seated in less than 90 seconds. The food? Pure comfort on a plate, like breakfast at Grandma’s house. If you're craving something delicious, hearty, and reasonably priced, this is the place to be!“

“I have been to Mickey's several times for a quick lunch or to grab a drink with a friend, staff is always friendly and helpful. Finally made it here for dinner and it was above and beyond expectations, carbonera was perfectly done and delicious, staff was attentive as always. Only negative about Mickeys is the train tracks right next door, but it is such a minor issue it shouldn't even be taken into account!“

“Our first time at The Hungry Bear today. It was busy but both waitresses acknowledged us and we were served quickly. Breakfast was good, they even brought an extra egg to our table as one of the yolks was broken. That to me was exceptional customer service and not expected. Portions are big. Friendly staff. Definitely would recommend and will go back. Cozy rustic interior.“

“Valcour was selected because they're in one of the RV programs that shares their parking lot for overnight parking. So now I can have a beer or two and not have to be concerned about driving. Fabulous! As for the location, the historical marker on the outside of this amazing building reads, "Old Stone Barracks. This building was built in 1838. The oldest structure on the base, stands as a witness to many events significant in American military history. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, February 18, 1971."

On a Saturday night, they were not very busy. I was immediately seated inside (air conditioning!) and a helpful waitress took my order. I spent the rest of the evening sipping beer, people watching, writing Yelp reviews. I also managed to consume some (extremely hot!) fried pickle spears.

Overnight parking was quiet enough and very level. This was a very pleasant stop and I will definitely return when I am back in Plattsburgh!“

We both ordered an "adirondack sour" which was similar to a NY sour but it seemed watered down with juice or something. Other than that everything was great!“

“Moderate wait time and friendly staff around noon on a Sunday are all anyone can ask for these days but we got lucky and after an accommodation to change seating, ended up with Ian as our waiter and delicious meals for everyone. Not only was he incredibly helpful with the drink menu, his personality and jokes were epic. He is the type of employee anyone should be glad to have; between keeping guests entertained during waits and his overall friendly demeanor, he was a breath of fresh air in an ordinarily stressful dining time when places are busy.
