“Each time I go to Yiasou Yeeros, it's the same. I'm greeted heartily and I'm given fabulous food! I've ordered almost everything on the menu over the years. There isn't anything I haven't liked! Sometimes I've eaten there; sometimes I have had take-out. The service is impeccable in both cases. Everyone I took there agrees: it's a special place!“
“Food is excellent every time however the portion sizes are ridiculous. If you’re charging $17 for a bowl I expect more than half a spoon of rice. The workers behind the counter are almost always oblivious and are not usually friendly. It’s a shame since the food is so good and this can easily be a 5 star spot.“
“Went to Blue Waters on a Saturday night. Definitely suggest making a reservation which we had because it is tight but cozy. Food was delicious. We had the Greek salad, branzino and salmon. baklava for dessert. Drinks were yummy too! Only negative was music a little too loud.“
“This should be your first choice for authentic Greek dining on Long Island. Our meals were delicious, service excellent and the owner, Alex took personal interest in our experience. The next time you want to treat yourself...Neraki Huntington.“
“My friend and I had a delightful experience at this Mediterranean restaurant in Westbury, New York. We visited it on a Friday evening around 5 o’clock and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, with only one other table occupied by a birthday celebration. The restaurant’s location at the crossroads of Merrick Avenue and Old Country Road made it easy to access, with plenty of parking available.Despite its small size, FandoQ had a cozy and neat atmosphere, decorated with beautiful ethnic paintings on the walls. The manager was exceptionally pleasant and attentive to our needs throughout the evening. For our appetisers, I ordered the Samosa, a fried pastry filled with vegetables and chickpeas, while my friend enjoyed the lentil soup and spinach pie. The portions were generous, so my friend decided to skip the main course, while I savoured the Adana kebab, which was a flavourful and perfectly grilled ground lamb dish served with fluffy white rice.To accompany our meal, my friend opted for Chianti, while I chose a refreshing pomegranate martini. For dessert, we shared a delightful Persian tea and indulged in the baklava and Persian ice cream, which was vanilla-based with pistachios.Throughout our meal, we were serenaded by the soothing music by RilTim, which added to the overall ambiance without being too loud, allowing us to enjoy both the music and our conversation. In conclusion, our experience at FandoQ was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was inviting. We would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a meal with friends.“
“Friendly customer service. If you have food allergies say it before you order. Food is great, healthy, fresh and a really good portion not too much or too little. I forgot to ask for peta bread to eat with it. I'll definitely go here again I'd choose this over fast food any day. You get the 4 food groups on one plate. A great balance of daily nutrition for me??“
“The owner is all about and very engaging. You see him in the kitchen behind the counter, mtg. guests and outside with the public. Parea is su h an appropriate name for this eatery.Kid-friendliness: Always welcomedWheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk wheelin“
“Had an AMAZING time. It was the kids' first time having Greek food, and they loved it! ??Everything was soooooo good. Typically, I like to get grilled chicken with lemon potatoes, but since we went during brunch, I opted for the grilled chicken skewers with the rice pilaf. My husband had the fish of the day which was the branzino, and the kids shared the steak. (The chimichurri sauce was so good). For dessert, the mango sorbet was so refreshing and tropical and the galaktoboureko was a treat indeed as well. Will definitely be back! The staff and service were great, and the decor was beautiful! ?. I loved everything about it. Definitely recommend.“
“So delicious. The pita burgers with jalapeño is so good. I crave it until I find the time to go and get one again. It's very reasonably priced at 10.50. We just ordered and I'm craving it all over again. I've also had the chicken and rice dinners and the flavors are quite good. Next time I'll take a picture, I tend to gobble up the order before I think of taking a pic. The food is freshly made and the service is quickl. I'll be back for more.“
“Food and service excellent, kid friendly. My daughter wanted Mac and cheese, although it wasn't on the menu the chef made it for her. My little 5 year old said it was simply "delicious". I would recommend Hunter because it was great decadent and family friendly.“
“This establishment is truly wonderful; the food was not only delicious but also served promptly. The young lady at the front desk welcomed us warmly and was incredibly courteous throughout our visit. Moreover, the owner took the time to personally connect with us, ensuring that everything met our expectations. Our experience was nothing short of awesome. Every aspect of our visit, from the delicious food to the attentive service, made for a memorable time. Will visit again and recommend it to others as well.“
“For me, consistency is a major factor when it comes to choosing where to eat. Gyrolicious is consistently serving up some of the best Greek food I've had outside of Astoria, and the staff is always very welcoming. The portions are very generous, and never lack in flavor. You can tell they really take pride in serving their customers and the quality of the food they put out. Absolutely recommend!“
“Haven't been here in a while. Had heard not as good recently. Had been frequent visitors here. Decided to try on Friday. Everything was fantastic. Service spot on. Food delicious and plentiful. Prices seemed a tad higher, but not outrageous. Will return.“
“Went here for lunch w friends. The place is small but hopping. Lots of people Picking up. We opted to eat in. Wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. We shared saganiki (a melted cheese and grilled tomato dish) it was warm and flavorful. It had warm feta w tomato on top w melted Greek cheese. Came w pita a good start to share. I had octopus well cooked and lots of flavor it came w onion and green peppers under it. My friends did salads one w gyro meat and they took off what she didn't like and add more of what she liked. My other friend had salad w souvlaki she like the marinade meat but the chunks need to be cut smaller for her. She like the tzatziki sauce. One friend order for her husband to take home and rice pudding. She said he loved his dish and the rice pudding was good tasting. They don't make ice tea but do have refillable soda. So all good. Portion due was enough to take extra home for another day.“
“Just ate here for the first time tonight after my in laws raved about it (they grew up in Oyster Bay). The food is delicious and the portions are large and reasonably priced. The owner is the sweetest guy. I don't know how he doesn't have people lined up out the door. Definitely a must when in Bayville!“
“Once again, we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and service was wonderful. We weren't rushed, we had time to sit and enjoy time/conversation with friends. The restaurant wasn't loud which was great, there was no need for raising our voices to hear each other. This makes a huge difference.“
“I was so excited to find a good shawarma place. I had the chicken shawarma salad with brown rice. It with a white sauce and spicy red sauce. Both were tasty. The food was great. The service was very friendly. The ambience is cute. It is small and there are a few tables to sit at. The shawarma is Georgian (country) style shawarma which was a delicious style.“
“My husband and I went on dates here. That was about 1970. I try to spend my birthday at Kabul, even tho my husband died in 2020. Delicious tradition. Have brought many friends here over the years. The quality of the food, and the delightful seasoning have been constants since we first had dinner there.“
“So i googled gyros by my work just to try something new and found this spot. I drove there and then realized it’s a gas station lol ohhhh but can looks be deceiving i walked in and was already negatively set but i said screw it im here. This was one of the best beef gyro sandwiche and fries I've had in a very long time. Honestly delicious meat was tender fries crispy and the 2 sauces they put on fire… Definitely will recommend it to anyone the gyro wasn’t huge it was on the smaller side but flavor made up for that. Insane how some small hidden gas station shop can great such an amazing gyro definitely check it out i got the gyro was with lettuce tomato cabbage and pickles sound strange for a gyro but it just works… Will 100% be going back……$15 dollars well spent honestly..“
“Loved Azerbaijan Grill. It is a distinct establishment, operating independently and specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. It is recognized for its exceptional chargrilled kebabs and an array of traditional dishes, reflecting the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The menu shines with its variety, including stews, dips, and vegetarian options such as mousakka and assorted vegetable plates, making it a favored choice for those in pursuit of authentic tastes. The ambiance of Azerbaijan Grill is designed to be comfortably casual, focusing on delivering a high-quality dining experience that emphasizes the flavors and authenticity of the food rather than the decoration. This commitment to quality and authenticity makes Azerbaijan Grill a must-visit for enthusiasts of Mediterranean cuisine. Please note, Azerbaijan Grill and Sufiya’s Mediterranean Grill in East Meadow are separate entities and should not be confused with one another. Each restaurant offers its own unique take on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, contributing to the rich culinary landscape of the area.“
“Fam favorite appetizers were the crispy fried eggplant & zucchini chips and exceptional hummus with pita. Mixed grilled vegetables were prepared eloquently and tasted sensational . Branzino was moist, cooked & seasoned to perfection & melted in your mouth. Greek salad & dressing tasted fresh & delicious. Baklava was enjoyed by all. Would order more frequently if weren’t so pricey! Recommend dining in on special occasions.“
“Yes this is good place for lunches and dinners but service slow gyro tastes changed it's not juicy meat appetizers better lentil soup better but same owner in Medford and lentil soup so delicious there. If you wanna purchase pitas or home made bread always they're saying it's not enough for us.Even past more than 2 years writing this today Feb 24 2024. Again they don't have bread. Not enough for them.So if you're selling bread add more for daily sale.Service didn't change I told young kid 4 times lentil soup still he was asking me what what etc.Anyway service getting better food always delicious also they're really busy guys.Vegetarian options: Hummus, eggplant hot foods etc.Parking: Parking on side and back of buildingWheelchair accessibility: Entrance was ok for wheel chair.“
“Since I’ve moved back from Berlin I’ve been scouring the island for the best chicken schwarma/kebab/sandwich/pita, whatever you want to call it. This place was hands down the best I’ve had. The only thing that would make it better was if they had fried halloumi to put in it, but I’ve yet to find a place in the US that does this so it’s no biggie. They don’t usually put hummus in it, but he did for me which I really appreciated. The salad they put on it had a very light oil based dressing that added an awesome taste to it. I was honestly blown away by how good it was. It’s a simple meal/concept, but the majority of places I’ve been to are incredibly subpar, as I am pretty picky. This is my new spot from now on.“
“Our 1st visit was a pleasant experience doing breakfast. Had the big breakfast ??. My better 1/2 had eggs Benedict & we were very satisfied with the food, service, staff & waitress. Has that classic old school late 80's early 90's diner look with the stainless & mirrors. Some seats have that classic pvt. table jukebox.Parking: Convenient corner diner on Sunrise hwy. svc. Rd.Kid-friendliness: Crayons & pics for the kids to color with. (Upon request)Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp & stairs leading to the main entrance.“
“So delicious!!!! Came here for my son's bday and the food was amazing. I saw the waitress deliver a cake to another table with a sparkler. I was allowed to bring in my own cake due to food allergies and I asked the waitress if she can put a sparkler on my cake too. They did and my son loved it!!! He said the steak was one of the best he ever tasted!!!“
“A favorite local Greek eatery. Great portions. Reliable quality. Clean place. From gyro to plates, side salad and soup, everything has flavor and isnt skimpy.Tender chicken kebab, delicious salad dressing with real olive (not some lame oil and vinegar).Lunch menu is a great offering that gives you options for multiple flavors to sample. Recommended.“
“The food is always good. The service was good but they were so overbooked and busy that they could not possibly be as excellent as they usually are. I Hate to not give them an amazing review because I am a regular and always have great service and excellent food there but last night was crazy busy. We waited a very long time to sit and we had reservations for 4 at 7:40lm. We waiting again a long time to get our food order in and then they were out of bronzino so it wasn't the same as usual. But I do highly recommend this restaurant and as I've said, I usually have an amazing overall experience there.“
“Beautiful restaurant in the Hilton Hotel on Route 110. I like the atmosphere and they burn insence and have flickering lights on the walls. Friendly staff. I don’t like really spicy food as this place is an Asian fusion of Indian, Chinese and Thai food. The best food is the Hot and Sour Soup with chicken. 10/10 in taste, flavor and quality. I ate here with my friend almost everyday and got take out as well. The spring rolls are ok, the pad Thai noddles are delicious, steamed dumplings are great. Fried rice with chicken is outstanding. Bit pricey for a soda at $5 each.“
“What can I say… I came here not knowing what to expect... But, this place blew me away!! I thought I had my favorite Greek spot all set. Until, I stumbled upon Noema in Huntington Long Island.. I was impressed with the first sip of my old fashion.. But, then came the appetizers.. I didn’t know what hit me.. And, then came the fish.. Wow! This place is no joke!!!! If, you are in the mood for Mediterranean with a twist then this is the place for you!! By the way they have an amazing bar and outdoor seating.. Love, Love this place!!! Highly recommend ?“
“Good food, good service and reasonable prices make this place a true gem. The food is always fresh and delicious and if you have a hungry, young adult athlete to feed, there are combination platters on the menu that will fill that kid up. I always leave Sufiya's feeling happy that I chose to dine there and I've never been disappointed.“
“First time at this restaurant, while in town for a movie. We've been to the Avli in Bayside and this one is as good as, if not even better. We shared a Greek salad and chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. It came with soup so we had the lentil. Excellent! The portions are large so now we get to also enjoy it for lunch. Service was friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back.“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
