I'm from NJ and my other half is from NYC/Long Island. WE LOVE GOOD PIZZA! I highly recommend trying Benny's. Met Benny today and he and staff are on top of customer service. I'm going back tomorrow for a sandwich. The Italian Sub looks great and there is not a place around here thats makes them good. That's Benny for coming to PV.“

“This is the best Italian take out that I have had in the entire Hudson Valley. I have had a loyal favorite in the lower Hudson Valley and I used to drive to get it, but now that I have tried Capperi I will always have a place that I can count on in Poughkeepsie.“

“First time here for a private party and i cannot say enough great things about not only the food but the staff also. By far one of the best upcoming restaurants in the Hudson valley. The pizza was so flavorful, fresh with perfect crust n that’s coming from someone whose family owned pizzeria for years. Another must have is the house made penelle which aside from my nonna making it I’ve never had in any restaurant. Last but not least the cannoli were some of the best I’ve had in months. This place is 1000% worth the drive from anywhere in the area. Will be coming back asap“

“At one time I lived in Poughkeepsie and often frequented the Milanese. The food was outstanding but the accommodations were at the time subpar. Close together seating where neighboring conversations were easily heard. Loud talking diners nearby were often obstusive. I recall a couple were about to be seated when the gentleman curtly told the waitress "If I wanted to sit with those folks I would have come in with them."

Years later still the case. We were seated very close to a table of 5. They were indeed loud talkers and we were uncomfortable until they left about a half hour later.

I got the stuffed shrimp
Delicious! But my side of pasta didn't come until 10 minutes into the meal. That presented another problem. There was one server for the whole dining room. The poor guy was frantically running to and fro like a crazy man. We felt sorry for him

My companion got the lasagne dinner and felt it was very tasty though substantially light on meat.

Generally my return to the Milanese was a disappointment. Uneven food quality and below average seating and poor service.

I doubt I'll be back.

“Food was excellent. Had the swordfish, the crispy polenta appetizer was so tasty. My girl had the crispy chicken with polenta in brown gravy which was really good. Ordered a side of brussel sprouts which were perfect. And topped it off with coffee and Limon cello tartufo ooh wow! This was all for our 1st anniversary and had a great meal. And not to mention our waiter Rich was very helpful and just made the dining experience that much better. More waiters and waitresses need to be like him. Can't wait to go back for another meal.“

“End Cut has been our spot for special occasion dinners here and there, but tonight was a little different. On 1/26 I called to make a reservation for tonight, and to no surprise, I could not for the life of me remember if I made it for 7 or 7:30. So Michael called yesterday and unfortunately our reservation wasn’t on the books. They were completely booked but squeezed us in for 5:30. We had one of the best meals in awhile - mushroom cakes, a porterhouse for two with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, key lime pie and two drinks each. The porterhouse for two was $115 alone.. and I have zero clue what the whole bill was because Chef Jordan took care of our e n t i r e bill. We declined many times but they insisted, so the next best thing I can think of is to recommend the heck out of a place that not only cares about their customer’s experience, but does everything 11/10 from drinks to dessert. “Hands down, the best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had. My whole family loves it. It’s our favorite pizza spot because of it. Only downside is the parking and the staircase when you first walk in(because you can’t push the stroller up it lol) .Only poor experience I had here is , I placed an order, and paid over the phone and asked if they wouldn’t mind bringing it out to the door so I could pull up and not have to take my kids out of the car (with the baby in the car seat lugging that thing down the street & then back with a pizza box in your hands as well as your sons hand - it’s a lot- especially if you don’t get a close parking spot, it’s a busy street) but they said they no longer do curb side pick up…Not the end of the world just annoying.But as far as the BBQ chicken pizza goes - flawless.

Parking: Parking is hard , not a lot of places to park, it’s a very busy street.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair or stroller accessible- short staircase when your first walk in the doors to get to the register/ tables/ etc.“

“I cannot recommend Mel's enough! I purchased the Holiday Catering Special for a work party and the food was amazing! I added a 1/2 tray of eggplant rollatini and also tortellini primavera and this easily fed 30 people (with leftovers!) My co-workers were raving about the food and I easily said it was all from Mel's. This special catering combo is the perfect mix for any party!!! (I will also add I ordered on Monday morning and picked up Tuesday evening! Quick service as well!!!) 👏“

French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.
I can't wait to go back and sample some more of their great food.“

“Hyde Park pizza place has very good pizza more often than not. Wings were a hit but now they are overcooked. This past Sunday however I ordered BBQ chicken pizza and when I arrived 30 minutes later, they all didn't know where my pizza was. They asked if I wanted red sauce on my BBQ chicken pizza. And to top it off they had just put it in the oven. I will never get pizza on a sunday from here again. Very unhappy.“

Long story short this was my second time ordering there and when I arrived they accidentally misheard my order over the phone (most likely my fault due to poor service) and the gentleman I spoke to was very cool, professional and polite! He immediately sprung into action to make the correct order which didn’t take long…Food is 10/10 just like the first time and I would highly recommend anyone to check it out if you haven’t already!!“
