“If you’re looking for a genuine slice of Americana that’s tucked away from the usual tourist trail, Star Diner is an absolute must-visit. The atmosphere is great, as it’s a small, cozy space with pure American diner decor, from the classic booths to the traditional lunch counter.
The service was excellent, and the food is consistently good and offers great value.
Practical Tips:
Cash Only: This is a traditional cash-only business, and there is a convenient ATM right at the entrance.
Parking: There is plenty of on-street metered parking in the surrounding area. Since the local enforcement is stringent, make sure to bring some quarters to feed the meter. $2 should give you plenty of time.“

“We finally tried the famous Mt. Kisco Diner, and wow, what an extensive menu! The place was packed, with plenty of parking, although the lot was completely full. Inside, it’s very spacious and big.
For starters, my son got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake, and my gosh, the picture says it all—he was so happy! He also had the Mac Attack with fries and loved it.
My wife had the Ruben sandwich/pastrami , and it was delicious—honestly better than mine. I kept it simple with an omelet and home fries. Nothing extraordinary, but still good.
For dessert, I had the lava cake, and my wife had the carrot cake. Both were very good choices.
Overall, the food was especially great for my wife and son, the menu has tons of options, and the place has a fun, busy atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out!
I forgot my wife had wine and I had tea“

“I came here to refuel myself after a long bike ride on a warm day and was immediately seated with friendly service. The reuben pastrami was delicious and came with fries and coleslaw which were both good. I had leftovers. The waitress was impeccably efficient and extremely nice and I felt right at home. This is a real deal proper diner! Definitely worth checking out with your family and friends.“

“Fantastic experience!! Greeted as we walked in the door. Attentive service from Manuel, our server, from start to finish. Omgoodness, the food was sooo good. We had both regular and sweet potato fries which are surely cut in house. Fried so crispy and not a bit of grease! 3 of us had wraps and we are sure the tortillas are also made in house. Everything was so good! On the way out we stopped to look at their desserts and had to grab some pastries. Prices were so reasonable and a great value for the money. Great cole slaw too, of which I'm very critical. We're looking forward to going back to try to more of their food.“
