“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Capri is absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing, the service is warm and attentive, and everything came out so quickly.

We started with the fish tacos, mozzarella sticks, and tuna tartare—each one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main, we had the rigatoni pasta, cooked perfectly and full of rich flavor. I also got the strawberry iced tea, which was refreshing, delicious, and a true 10/10!

Overall, Capri is a true gem. Delicious food, awesome service, and such a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!“

“I’ve been to every local coffee shop you could think of within the radius of Oceanside to Long Beach. Without doubt this is THE best local coffee shop in the area. Small, quaint little hole in the wall type of shop next to the Oceanside train station that puts out THE best coffee and baked goods. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a total knock out, so so so so good. The owner Vish has to be one of the nicest people I’ve met as well. A hands on owner you can find behind the counter whipping up coffees or out on the patio engaging with his guests. Very nice spot I highly recommend coming here. Their cold brew is the best.“

“It’s amazing to have massapequa perk open and safe during Covid. And my once a week thrill gives me life. We appreciate you, and can’t wait for this to be over. I take my walks through Massapequa to Massapequa Park and always bring my dog. I understand that I can’t bring him in but I totally forgot and was politely asked to keep him outside. I was confused by the huge selection of açaí bowls and had many questions and they were happy to answer them with no hesitation.I eventually chose my açaí bowl and it was very flavorful filled with fresh fruit and delicious. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Playa Bowls Merrick.“

“My daughter and I happened upon this place and we were so happy we did! Chris (not sure if he was the owner or not) was super helpful since we have food allergies. He made my daughter a cotton candy milkshake which she absolutely devoured. I had a flavored coffee which was delicious. From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. Kudos to them for a really great place, definitely go visit!“

“I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽

“The fact that I live closer to here and been going to the greenwich location is a joke in itself. This location is not only better but slightly cheaper. I haven’t had an entire fresh box since I lived in Oceanside (moved 08’). I no longer have to gamble. I am coming here. They had the nerve to have decorative donuts and they were not crunchy. “Ilona Lynch Stop 20 Diner is the absolute Best diner! They have the best, fattest anf tastiest burgers, which we had last night. I have been getting great meals from there for years, but last night was the first time I have ordered a burger from there, along with 2 good friends, and the burgers blew us away, along with the fries, being cooked to perfection. We have never had such thick burgers before at any diner ever, and they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were also excellent. A special thank you to the night manager, Manny for your service which went above and beyond! My 2 dear friends who were with me last night when you brought us our burgers also love the Food at Stop 20, and we send much appreciation and respect for your treatment of us, and the high quality of our meals!
