“This place is fabulous, the customer service goes beyond reproach. The Alamo bar and grill is a must do place, the folks there put a lot of care in what they do, from the waitresses and waiters all the way to the kitchen, staff and cooks that should be called chefs. There’s a lot of passion and love that goes into every dish that leaves the kitchen. For me is home way from home! Oh yes, don’t forget to ask how them the history behind naming the place “Alamo bar & grill”, great story!“

“Was looking for hotels and came across this. Will have to check the place out when I get there. Owner needs to update that it's no longer a hotel as it'll keep coming up hotel in Google search. Place does sound great otherwise so will update my experience when we get there next week!!“

“Rustic family style atmosphere and great food with huge portions!! Nestled in the Adirondack Park, you get a nice view of nature and great fresh made food. The prime rib was melt in my mouth and companion had the garbage plate. Both were huge and meant lots of leftovers. The sweet pickles and bread are a nice starter. I asked for fruity wine and the server picked an awesome pineapple flavored one. Dinner was $65 and finding such good reasonably priced food and wonderful service is rare.“

“We arrived at Marr-Logg around 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday. When we arrived, we were immediately acknowledged and greeted by a server. We took our seats. There were plenty of booths and tables to choose from. They appear to have three rows of booths with tables in the middle of the aisles, allowing them to accommodate a large number of people at once. I was concerned that if the restaurant was small and we arrived at 8 a.m., it would already be crowded, but this was not the case. Our server informed us that she would be the only server for a short period of time until more servers arrived. It is unusual for the server to give you a heads up, so we appreciated her doing so.I ordered the standard fare of two eggs, juice, home fries, bacon, and Italian toast. The server asked if I wanted soft or hard crust Italian bread; I had no idea what the difference was, and she said she preferred the hard crust; it's a "East Utica thing," so I went with her recommendation. The toasts were delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the texture was fluffy and delicious.I prefer my home fries deep fried, but they only cook them on the grill, so I requested crispy potatoes. My potatoes were not as crispy as requested, but they were perfectly seasoned and cooked throughout (not hard, as if it hadn't finished cooking), so I didn't mind. The portion was neither too small nor too large—it was just right and filled me up! It is usually hard to get full with breakfast food, but I left satisfied! The prices were reasonable.I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast! ??“

“I had a reuben and a side of fries. Portions were very generous, the corned beef was sliced thin and piled high with delicious saurkraut and the rye bread perfectly toasted on the grill. The fries were hot and crisp and not thin string fries. Excellent meal at $10 and the serving staff were very friendly. I highly recommend Blue Anchor and the reuben!“
