“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! The entire staff from front and back of house are very friendly. So glad we found them and looking forward to going back! We HIGHLY recommend them!“

“My mom has been purchasing their Rosca de Reyes since 1997 when we lived in Brooklyn. Now she goes to the one in the city. They are delicious and well made. Just perfect! My children love it as well as all my family. They are by far the best ones in town.“

I was so excited about my first experience that I ordered again the very next day. The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I’m so happy to have a place where I can enjoy a great meal, whether I’m at work or on the go.

“Samantha at the register is amazing she was super courteous and personable. My dad is in the hospital and is a diabetic and she helped me create the perfect salad bowl for him. I don't live close by but I have family that does definitely recommending this restaurant to them.“

“Zhumi is a hidden gem. This small unsuspecting storefront in Whitestone revealed itself to be a welcoming environment for superb homemade Mexican food. I highly suggest the tacos and mulitas done with handmade tortillas. Everything we tried was delicious, down to the flan and horchata. Family operation. Everyone was very kind. Great service. Definitely check it out!“

“IT WAS HORRIBLE. AS A MEXICAN I DO NOT APPROVE, THIS PLACE HAD BAD BAD FOOD, FIRST OF ALL THEY SERVED ME AN ORANGE WITH TACOS, WHO DOES THAT? WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND GIVE ORANGES WITH TACOS, NUH UH. ALSO, I FOUND OUT THAT THEIR GUACAMOLE IS NOT EVEN MEXICAN RECEPIE, IT TASTED LIKE WASABI WITH TOO MUCH MAYO EXPECT IT WAS NOT EVEN WASABI, AND ALSO THERE WERE NOT ONLY HAIRS IN MY FOOD BUT THERE WA A FRAKING ROACH SINGING LA CUCARACHA WITH MEXICAN HAT AND LITTLE TINY MARACAS. “❤ My husband and I love Curbside in South Hempstead. Their crunchwraps are big enough to share. Our favorite is the Cowboy Crunchwrap with extra sauteed onions. I could eat only this for the rest of my life, provided, of course, we have sour cream!“

“Honestly, I never write reviews but tonight we dined here for the second time and I had to. The food is fantastic, genuinely find my eyes rolling into the back of my head after every bite. The guacamole is outstanding and the chips and salsa are unparalleled— I mean HOT and fresh chips?! Get outtttt. The margs are great and the staff is so friendly and lovely all around. Will 100% be coming back to try everything. If you’re considering going, DO IT! 10/10“

“I’ve ordered delivery from them twice now & both times those carne asada tacos were chefs kiss! 💋 they fill those tacos up (and double layer tortillas too) and add this delicious guacamole sauce/salsa… 10/10 and will be ordering more. $4.50 per taco is worth it here, period. You get your moneys worth.“

“We had a great experience at El Mercadito! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented with vibrant colors. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.
The portion sizes were excellent, giving great value for the price. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommend El Mercadito if you’re looking for amazing food and outstanding service!
My only feedback is that there is just one restroom shared by both men and women. The restroom was very clean, but personally, I would have preferred separate restrooms.“

“Adobo always has wonderful service, gracious portions, and the student discounts are so convenient for college students and high schoolers. My boyfriend and I are regulars and have never had any complaints. A nice and easy atmosphere for grab and go, even at late hours. The workers are always welcoming and genuine. Manju is such an inviting worker with a kind smile and sweet greeting every time we walk in. Highly recommend adobo for filling but healthy meals.“

“I visited with my wife and the service was quick and great, Anastasia patiently answered all of our questions! We got food off of their Vegan Menu which featured staples like Cauliflower and Tofu. I personally enjoyed the Caulifower coated and fried over loaded Nachos. Perfect meal for a late night of fun, thanks so much 🙏🏾“

“I finally came here to try the famous crispy tacos, and my first bite was literally, “Whoa!” They were crispy, fresh, and so delicious. I also ordered a chicken bowl, which was very tasty with a generous portion.
I’ll definitely be back to try more items. I honestly don’t understand why the rating isn’t higher. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, great food—a true hidden gem!“

“La La is a warm, friendly neighborhood taqueria in the heart of downtown Pelham and the tacos are superb. The owner is from Oaxaca and he knows his tacos! We eat there regularly and almost always order the special taco of the day. They are original, freshly made and bursting with unexpected flavors, often a delightful combination of creamy, spicy, savory and sweet. We just had the Cochinita Pibil taco and I think it was the best yet. The tortillas are also flavorful and tender.“
