“This is our 2nd time at this restaurant. This time around, a late brunch. Downtown Katonah is quite popular on beautiful Sunday mornings and we were going to a concert at the Caramoor later in the afternoon. So if you don't have a reservation at the brunch places, you are out of luck. I really wanted eggs this day but lunch was the only option late in the game. I did remember that this restaurant had a full bar so, why not. It was a cold day so a hot Sake sounded like a good idea. This place is usually standing room only at night but just after 12:30pm it was almost empty. I didn't realize I was "hangry" so I ordered an entree because I knew it would come with soup. My husband was in his element with sushi rolls and a side of pan-fried gyoza. We also requested some adult beverages. I ordered a cocktail...pomegranate Prosecco. It was a beautiful ruby color when it arrived, forgetting about the sake.... When our entrees arrived (pretty quickly, I may add), my eyes grew big as the giant tempura plate came. Everything was sizzling hot! 5 pieces of giant shrimp with some surprises; asparagus & butternut squash, in addition to the yummy usuals. I was so glad that my husband was there to help me finish. Fried food isn't appetizing as a to-go item. I was full and then some. Service was moderately quick, but as the restaurant began filling up, I was glad that we were among the "early" customers. I noticed that service was slowing down a bit. However, it was Sunday afternoon. I imagine the rest of the crew will be in for the dinner crowd. Oh did I mention that their take-out service is also quite busy? It's an indication that they're quite popular in the neighborhood.“

“I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. We were in town for a soccer game and after the game the girls were in the mood for some sushi. Parking was tough as there were no spots available on the street, so I parked in the back across the street in the bank lot, luckily it was 8pm and it's not open. Once we walked in we were greeted by staff, and were pleased by the inside decor, as it has a nice authentic Japanese scene. Ordering was easy and kids got the sushi rolls they wanted and those Japanese sodas. I got a a rainbow roll and a Godzilla roll and a bowl of chicken fried rice. The girls got California rolls tuna rolls. The total bill was $125 + tip. So, it's what I expected to pay for good food and service in a nice area. I recommend if you like Sushi or Japanese food.“

“I lived in Japan for several years and, since returning to Stamford, I have been looking for a Japanese restaurant that knows how correctly to prepare and serve Japanese food, sashimi and sushi in particular. After many unsatisfactory experiences at various local spots I found Kiku and my search was over. These folks really know their Japanese cooking. Everything was perfect -- and the price is very reasonable. Now, I eat at Kiku once a week and find 100% satisfaction. They also do a very tasty drunken noodles, but I go there mainly for their raw fish. Also, attentive service. Just great! To find this sort of dining experience in a strip mall in Springdale is amazing.“

“So just had dinner last night, Grace roll, shrimp tempura, salad and tempura soba, shrimp teriyaki. Some crazy lady came to complain about her take out! Everything was fabulous and we do this at least every 2 weeks for many many years. Have yet to be disappointed....“

“Vanessa (owner) is the best. She clearly cares about quality and Kampei II delivers. It’s always fresh, always hot, and always delicious. Can’t go wrong with anything whether you go for the Chinese menu or Japanese/sushi. Order with confidence and enjoy!“
“Best fried rice I've ever eaten in my life. Everything I've ever ordered here has been absolutely amazing. Service has always been great and fast, the only thing is the price is decently expensive at around $15-$25 a plate depending on what you get, put in my opinion 100% worth it.“

“They don’t Japanese make restaurants like this anymore! I loved it all. The servers were kind & quick, the atmosphere was very old school, and the food was fantastic for a good price. It was lovely. I’ll definitely be going back. Don’t. Change. Anything.“

“I’ve only taken out. Have not eaten in so can’t comment on service, etc. raised in nyc, I’m a Chinatown devotee. I’ve eaten Asian cuisine for close to 60 years far and wide. This restaurant shocked me with how good every dish I’ve tried. From crispy fried dumplings, to perfect hot and sour soup to entrees, every dish has been truly excellent. I rarely give 5 stars in any review. This restaurant deserves it.Parking: Large lot, always plenty of spots.“

“I swear by the lunch special. I have been going to Kira Sushi for many many years and the lunch special has been a go to. 2 or 3 rolls with miso soup and in this case edamame. The lunch special at Kira Sushi has a special place in my heart. I also did a charity event years ago and Kira was nice enough to donate a tray of sushi. A nice place. Thank you!“

“This place is the best!! The chicken was very crispy and the sauce was tasty. You could easily tell that the sushi was fresh. I requested the drunken noodles to be extra spicy and they were the perfect amount of spice. I highly recommend Asia Hamachi!“
