“This is a great bar. I visited on Sat 28 September whilst on vacation from Liverpool (UK), to watch my team Liverpool FC play Wolves. Within the first five minutes I knew that I was going to have a good experience, when I heard the barman talking to a couple of locals, reminiscing about the drunken night before that they had enjoyed together in the bar. There was a good atmosphere here, and the Guinness was good too. After the match I got talking to a couple of friendly local lads who tried to buy me a drink and asked me to have a shot with them. They also tried to persuade me to move on with them for food but I had already eaten. Top fellas. I am going to try and get back here when I am next in New York.“

“This place is great. The food is excellent. The servers are very nice. The reason I had to give them only five stars is just because they have me and my girlfriend water glasses of two very slightly different heights. It was subtle, but they were definitely NOT identical glasses. One was probably a centimeter taller (or the other was that much shorter, depending on how you look at it). Otherwise, the water tasted the same. The fries were also super good and so was the side salad.“

“Update: Didn't realize this but there are power strips at the bar. Super convenient!The perfect neighborhood spot to visit before heading home after a long day in the office. I don't know why I don't come here more often.A relaxing and welcoming pub in the heart of Astoria with plenty of beer and liquor options.Say hi to Mike the bartender! His playlist is always ???.Finally, stop by to watch the big game! Plenty of TV screens.“

“Had my husband’s surprise party this weekend. My family has had parties their in the past and Monahan’s continues to live up to their excellent reputation. The servers were so friendly, professional and engaging with our family…their personalities are perfect for their jobs….thank you so much. The food was outstanding….first time we had the stuffed mushroom and they were amazing. All our appetizers, The London broil, turkey and pasta salad were just perfect. My guests were very happy. My family continues to highly recommend Monahan’s. Thank you so much Jeff 😀“

“It's a simple dive bar that mostly seems to serve the post work crowd. Taking a star off as they didn't seem to have any beers on Tap. Might have been a one off but I feel that a bar must have some options on Tap.
Seemed like mostly locals when I dropped by during a Copa America match.“
