“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.“

“High expectations, but not impressed with this visit. Wednesday early dinner , 7/23/25, 5pm.
No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.
Better luck next time.“

“I was looking for a new karaoke bar to attend. I found out Shillelagh Tavern is an active venue for shows, open mic jamm sessions and karaoke. I went there on a Saturday night on karaoke night. It's starts a bit late. At 11:30 pm you can start picking your songs. I like the crowd. There were a lot of good singers. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The bar itself is also
great. They have a great selection of beers and well drinks. All the bartenders I dealt with were
professional and quick to attend to me. I recommend this lovely little off the beaten path watering hole. They don't sell food there, but they hold the menus for several take out places on the block. You can order from the menu and they will deliver it to you.“

“The greatest neighborhood bar in NY City. It’s a place “Where Everyone Knows Your Name.” Yes that is a reference to Cheers 🤣“
“Great spot if you like to be in a dark room with torn up furniture, questionable waitresses which seem to offer more than drinks and the security looking ready to rough you up. Oh and don’t forget to take a deep breath before walking in. There is a certain odor when you walk in.“

“Wow, I am flabbergasted. Came here on a cold snowy night just to grab a quick drink and get on the train. fortunately the vibes and atmosphere that “tala” created were memorable so I said forget that train and stayed. The jukebox has music you can select, the drinks are strong yet perfectly crafted. Never expected this from a hole in the wall dive bar. Thank you paddy’s thank you “tala” for introducing me to darts I never played before but they have it going on here !!! I can’t wait to be back !!!“

What could be better?
Food options. And, it is always good to provide the menu right away when guests arrive. Not everyone is visiting just for a beer. Some prefer an experience.“

“Great place! Great atmosphere! Excellent people! Dive bar/Irish pub feel, and very clean. We didn't have any food but I'd bet it's pretty good too! My wife and I just stopped in for a drink, but ended up sitting a few hours at the bar chatting and laughing with the staff, the owner and other patrons, had a great time! Highly recommend!“
