The crust was on the thicker side and slightly chewy. I thought it was very good. We ordered half pepperoni and half cheese only. I prefer the pepperoni but that's just me. For pizza, it's very good. Can't comment on any entree“

“We had a memorial luncheon and got some items from CJs: the meatballs and ziti. Everything was really great but everyone was raving about the meatballs especially. We have enjoyed Graziano's culinary artistry for 30 years now, (since the days of Mary Ps), and he just keeps getting better. My wife had the shortribs, and I had the sushi grade tuna with mushrooms and we enjoyed every bite. The service and atmosphere are the best. I would highly recommend the Downtown Cafe for a delicious, relaxing meal and great hometown atmosphere.“

“I used to look forward to eating there. But the last two times I had the worst servers. One never came back to check after she dropped off my food. I had wanted a soda refill and another napkin, had to find her to get my check. Last night I came in and was told the kitchen was about to close so I needed to hurry up (I just sat down at about 9:25 pm). I ordered right away. An ice water and a coke and a meatball parm sub. I was lucky to get my soda with her attitude. No ice water was brought or acknowledged at all. I took a few bites of my food and she asked if I wanted a box. I was really irritated. If they told me to go only I would have been fine. But the way I was handled made me angry. I ate quickly and left. If I choose to get something again , it will be to go. Honestly, Caitlyn is the best server there. She is five stars. The others are not worth a dime.“

“I went in here last night and sat at the bar. At first, the bartender was a little bit rude. But he came around and was fine after that. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza. It was huge. It could easily have fed 2 people. The pizza was very good. Not the best I've ever had, but very solid indeed. The wine pour was also very generous. The prices were very modest My only negative was that it's very noisy. Maybe a few properly placed plants, but a good experience all in all.“

“The restaurant was picked by our friends who had been there before, and wanted to enjoy it with us.
I had the Pork schnitzel special and my wife had shrimp on linguine special . The Pork schnitzel was very delicious while the shrimp specials had very few shrimp that made it a bit disappointing for her.
The staff was very attentive and friendly which made it a pleasant experience anyway. I would probably go back and order a different entree next time.

“End Cut has been our spot for special occasion dinners here and there, but tonight was a little different. On 1/26 I called to make a reservation for tonight, and to no surprise, I could not for the life of me remember if I made it for 7 or 7:30. So Michael called yesterday and unfortunately our reservation wasn’t on the books. They were completely booked but squeezed us in for 5:30. We had one of the best meals in awhile - mushroom cakes, a porterhouse for two with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, key lime pie and two drinks each. The porterhouse for two was $115 alone.. and I have zero clue what the whole bill was because Chef Jordan took care of our e n t i r e bill. We declined many times but they insisted, so the next best thing I can think of is to recommend the heck out of a place that not only cares about their customer’s experience, but does everything 11/10 from drinks to dessert. “I had their pizza once, after being unimpressed with one of their competitors -- and now I'm a Mario's fan for life. Pizzas are generously sized, prepared with an abundance of toppings, and reasonably priced. The pizza is so good, I haven't explored the menu much. But they also sell ricotta cheesecake a delicately flavorful, mildly sweet, lighter-textured cheesecake. Genuinely Italian.“

“I just discovered this Gem. Food is great. Small and more simple items. Perfect for a lunch at home. Take out. Employees are very welcoming, personable, helpful. It’s one of my new favorite places. I do have to say i was a little disappointed that they dont have balsamic dressing or glaze. HOWEVER< THE ITALIAN dressing makes up for it. It was so good i wanted more and more salad. French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.
I can't wait to go back and sample some more of their great food.“

“Hyde Park pizza place has very good pizza more often than not. Wings were a hit but now they are overcooked. This past Sunday however I ordered BBQ chicken pizza and when I arrived 30 minutes later, they all didn't know where my pizza was. They asked if I wanted red sauce on my BBQ chicken pizza. And to top it off they had just put it in the oven. I will never get pizza on a sunday from here again. Very unhappy.“

We ordered a small thin crust pepperoni and sausage pie ($17 including a bottled drink) and was it was done quickly. Needless to say it was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it. I would definitely stop in again if I’m ever in the area. (Btw I very seldom do reviews but I had to this time).“
