“Discovered this spot by mistake while waiting on the bus, either way the service was prompt and polite. The menu is cheap and cheerful and you can see your food being prepared right in front of you! I tried The Cuban Panini , they added a pickle on the side as well as a Pringle chips. Lots of clean smoothie, juice and sandwiches.“
“I visited Hibiscus Cafe less than an hour before closing on a Sunday evening. The café was really busy, and everyone (including myself) was ordering complicated drinks. A few folks ordered things that required ingredients that were out, and something like that could throw anyone off their game at the end of their shift. However, the woman working was handling everything so smoothly and efficiently, and she was just plain awesome. My matcha latte was also delicious! I can’t wait to go back!“
“This is a tiny little totally unassuming deli located off the beaten path on W 107th & Manhattan Ave that for some reason makes unanticipatedly excellent croissants.I grew up in Paris where you can find an excellent croissant for 0.90€ on every street corner. So when they try to sell me croissant for $5/ $6/ $7 here in New York, well, I tell them that’s an absurd price and I turn around and I walk out.Hakan sells these excellently executed croissants for $2.50/ each. Everything was as it properly should be: not dry or bread-like as is often the case here in the US; nice and properly buttery as it’s supposed to be; flaky on outside and doughy on inside as it’s supposed to be. An excellent croissant. Excited to try the other pastries! Hakan and his employee were great - super friendly and affable and offered me great service ?“
“I work 12 hour shifts near here and I’m always soooo tired halfway through. I come here for a quick pick me up. The lady behind the counter is the absolute sweetest, drinks aside- she always lightens my mood. The açaí bowls are to die for- not mid. I’ve tried so many spots in Astoria and Vela is consistently yummy. Today. I went in for a milk tea and they ran out of boba. She went an extra mile to charge me for a medium despite me ordering a large! Soooo sweet. ??“
“Wow! Went on a rainy Tuesday early afternoon to the place, and the owner/server was so courteous. I ordered a couple of sandwiches and a pudding bread, and it was amazing. This was so worth the trip. Please pay this little establishment if you're vegan (and even if you're not). You won't be disappointed as the friendly service and quality of food you receive. I'll be back.“
“I went to the Crumbly Cafe & Bakery on Second Avenue this week for the first time. I ordered the feta and spinach bistro and it was one of the best baked goods I've had in a very long time. I was so impressed that I just placed an on-line order for 8 different items to try and can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. In addition, the wonderfully talented baker, Ms. Miriam and her lovely daughter, Mia, could not have been nicer and more welcoming. It will definitely be a favorite and am so glad of the new discovery!“
“I called the restaurant today on my daughter’s birthday (2/26/24) to ask for a table for 5 people including two children. I was told there’s not enough seating for everyone but they would gladly accommodate us at the event space next door. I agreed. My family arrived at around 6 and the two ladies took our order and Yvonne took a few minutes to prepare the table for us. When she led us into the room we were so delighted and astounded! The place was so beautifully decorated, and she managed it in a very short time! All the food was delicious! She made my daughter feel so special, she danced with the girls and helped cut the cake! I was very lucky and blessed to have been given this wonderful memory! It was such a pleasure to meet Yvonne, she is so sweet and has such a good heart! I will definitely be back again soon!Dietary restrictions: Totally Vegan and plant based menu.Kid-friendliness: Yvonne was so sweet with my girls.“
“OOPS TEA IS THE BEST IN BUSHWICK!!!!! staff is so friendly, attentive, and overall amazing! the tofu pockets are UNREAL and you can tell they’re made with love <3 not to mention the bubble tea is so amazing and refreshing. also the ambience and decorations are SO cute. definitely recommend! ?????“
“Great food, great smoothies, and wonderful customer service! There's also a good selection of high quality vegetarian and vegan items (both food and the smoothies). Would recommend for a quick bite or a full-on meal. Thanks for such a pleasant lunch!“
“Mother and Son Brunch … just because? at this quaint, tucked away secret gem in Queens. Truly the first place that I,ve found in Queens that does BOTH vegan and carnivore options WELL! If you’re like me where your household has a little bit of everything going on, this is your spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch! They are a vegetarian diner with an extensive menu so lots of good eats to choose from that are not salty or oily and well seasoned ?We had fresh carrot juice made to order, the pancake special with plant based bacon, eggs, home fries, sour dough toast, fresh fruit and avocado. Magnificent! They also have vegan desserts like apple crumb pie, frosted cookie crunch and so much more. The service was wonderful and we felt right at home. There is also a lovely gift shop right next door that has some unique knick knacks. Tell ‘em Avery sent you?Downside is parking is sparse so Uber or subway if you can. Note their hours are 8am - 3pm, closed on Tuesdays and are open on Sundays. Bon Apetit ?Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: Perfect Vegan spot with lots of optionsParking: You might have to circle a couple times to find parking as this location is in a residential neighborhood.“
“I was simply working nearby and stumbled upon Blend... what a treat! Not only did I find the owner Ralph hanging out and being awesome. The folks in the shop are friendly. In addition, the coffee is top notch, and the food is creative. What more can you ask for?“
“Delicious! Stumbled upon this place when I was searching for a quick bite. I ordered delivery and the food came very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised how big and hefty the bowls were! We got the bulgogi rice bowl and a make your own bowl with fried chicken. Both had generous heaping portions of meat. I would say my appetite is fairly large and I couldn't even finish half of my bowl! The bulgogi was tender and juicy, and the vegetables that came with my bowl were delicious. The make your own bowl was also phenomenal! The cucumber kimchi and pickled turnips were some of my favorites. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation of meals and I can't wait to have it again!“
“the soft drink is very tasty. what I felt liquid in my mouth today was absolutely stunning. it has a unique flavor that I have not experienced in my quiet life so far. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful and charming Mexican wonder to everyone, yes even to you.“
“Love this place, really a relatively hidden gem. Everything they do is pretty spot on. Focaccia is great, pastries are great, chicken cutlets are great. Underrated for sure - there quality indicates they’d be busy all the time but yet it seems slow when i’m there to pick up lunch or dinner. Really hoping they stick around.“
“The Tropical bowl was beautiful! I love to eat açaí bowl, as an afternoon snack or as breakfast and the truth is, the taste was delicious. I find the prices affordable and the service 10/10. I will continue trying this store, its products, I know it will not disappoint me.“
“I ordered a chai latte on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It was perfect flavor, sweetness and temperature. I got it with almond milk. I brought in a bagel from another place. However, I saw that they also sell bagels and I heard people ordering an egg sandwich as well as other items, I also noticed they have healthy shakes as well. Since I live nearby I got a punchcard and I hope to visit soon. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive that it's Latin owned possibly female owned as well. There's not too much seating, I believe there's three tables of two inside and two tables outside. Luckily, not too many people stay for long periods of time I was able to stay for two hours, talking to my friend with no problem.“
“Stumbled upon this joint randomly on my way home and what a surprise! The staff is really friendly and explained some of the sandwiches for me, decided to get the Chimi with chicken and the lava cake. Both were delicious and not the mention the fair prices.Although they don’t have an indoor sitting area, they have a small outdoor hut if you’d like to stay and dine in.Truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood, can’t wait to try some of their other specialities!“
“I visited this spot for the first time yesterday 3/7/2024 and was blown away by the fresh and delicious food I ordered and received. I had the jerk chicken bowl, tuna wrap and to top it off, a green leaf juice. Each item was very well portioned and made with fresh ingredients. The ambience was welcoming with the most friendly staff. Green Leaf Bistro was definitely needed in the Liberty, Queens area adding value to healthy eating. My new go-to spot from now on!Highly recommended!“
“Diana and her Little Chef team catered a few 60 person events for us. She was so easy to work with, and her team is really great as well. We did a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, and her food is delicious. She will work with you on a menu within your budget and dietary restrictions, and it really feels like Diana and her team care about the success of your event and making sure all goes smoothly. I can't recommend her highly enough!“
“Nice atmosphere, really tasty and cheap meals. We had lunch, 2 people for $26 which is great for the area. Very generous plates and burritos, with drink included and little carrot cake for desert. Only if you really eat a lot will be able to finish the plate! Recommend!!“
“Has its own entrance and Manu, but is connected indoors to the neighboring ramen shop. Extensive menu that includes hot food appetizers. Has the typical toppings and requisite menu options for your standard bubble tea shop and good flavors.“
“This coffee shop is a gem. It’s neat, modern, clean, and the atmosphere is super soothing. There are words of affirmation on their mugs, which was a nice surprise.I had a latte with oat milk and it was refreshing. Seems to be a good place to order some coffee, read a book or get some work done. I didn’t get to check if there was WiFi or not, but this is a place I’d be willing to use my hotspot for.The staff were very warm and welcoming — I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the neighborhood to try a pastry or two! Thank you.“
“It is a super nice and pleasant place, the fruit salads and their cholado are delicious and the service is very good, I always go when I can and the experience is excellent.I will soon have my birthday there with my friends and family.Super recommended.❤️“
“My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. All the best on your growth plans!“
“Align is the perfect spot in the neighborhood for your on the go cup of joe.By far the best aspect of align is their incredible staff, who greet you with the kind of positivity that’s so important when starting off your day.The inside is kind & cozy, a safe haven in the midst of new York’s benevolent chaos. The coffee is superb and so are the (gluten free) crepes- my favorite is the bacon egg and cheese with their special sauce. With just 3 seats inside, it’s not always the place to sit with your coffee, but it’s always a great place to get your coffee. Also, for fans of adaptogens/antioxidants, try the chagaccino, the chaga mushroom-infused spin on your morning espresso.“
“Nice friend/associate meet-up spot with a calm and inviting ambience. The juices and smoothies are a 10/10 for me! And they’ve a few games to play with others. Highly recommend going here. They only have turmeric bread, though. Small detail, yet important to name for some people.“
“Blown away by this God sent place ? well worth the stop. I am so appreciative of your brand and the beautiful souls that represent it ❤️ ✨️ I took my sister for a healthy snack she smiled the whole time in satisfaction ❤️ we will definitely be back. Thank you. I will highly recommend them to all who pass by.“
“My first time going here was just Sunday a few days ago and it was really nice. The space is adequate, but also bigger than I thought it would be. There's so much seating and they even have games and a little library! I loved the salmon burger and really want to try the Kremas latte when it's back in stock. The decor was so colorful, and the other customers were friendly also. I'm not that close to the area anymore but I would definitely come back for that latte and some of the sweet stuff I saw in the display ?“
“Place discovered by chance (the Routard indicated the restaurant next door which we do not recommend for the welcome).Unbeatable value for money, very very generous and very very good. The welcome is excellent, even for a French person who speaks the language very poorly. Very fast service. Only very deserved “very” ones.“
“The owner of this store and all the staff are exceedingly kind and generous. Besides the fact that they serve some of the best vegan food in the area, I always look forward to being received by their warm vibes. My favorite items here are the buffet stews, hearty soups, porridge, mac and cheez and the plantain patty. Their smoothies are also unique and delicious! What I like most is i never feel guilty about eating here, since everything is so fresh, healthy and made with some magical recipe since I end up craving their food constantly.I don’t typically give five star reviews bc I’m so picky, but I’ve been coming here for over a year and they deserve it. I hope they never close!!I volunteer with the local classon community fridge and they’ve also very generously donated items they have extra of at the end of the day. Wish every establishment did the same!Vegetarian options: Meals, drinks, soups, baked goods and pattiesDietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian (pescatarian) offerings“
“I truly cannot emphasize how wonderful our experience was as the Doctor’s Cave Cafe. My partner and I had just seen it when scoping out a local bookstore, and I’m so happy we stopped in. The food was so light and flavorful, the coffee wasn’t too sweet and flavored beautifully, and the baked goods were the perfect finish to an amazing meal. As soul warming as the food was, the owner and staff paired with the cozy environment really made us feel like we had stumbled upon something really special. I am between the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn often, so I will make it a habit to stop in every time I’m in town. Thank you for the comfort and food you provide, because you really are doing it right. I will be sure to recommend this spot to everyone I know!“
“I enjoyed the natural juices which includes the Sweet Greens which consists of fresh vegetables and fruits. The Strawberry Sunset is also another one of my fav. along with the Grind & Shine for a quick picker upper in the morning. Sandwich- healthy toast of turkey with kale & other veggies.“
“I absolutely love this place. I come here once or twice a day. The smoothies are excellent. My favorites are peach’s delight and peanut butter punch. Most times I add some combination of mango, coconut and/or spinach to the peanut butter one. I haven’t tried the juices or açaí bowls yet but I’ve heard many great reviews from people I trust. The customer service in this tiny gem of a store is also A1. They care about their customers, I can tell. I hope you guys stay open for a very long time.“
“From the moment I stepped into this hidden gem, I knew I had found something special. The owner's warm welcome and genuine passion for their craft have fostered a relationship that transcends the typical customer-server dynamic. Each bite is a symphony of freshness and flavor, a testament to the dedication to quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. From the delicate slices of sashimi to the intricate rolls bursting with creativity, every dish is a masterpiece. But what truly sets this place apart is the intangible sense of belonging it instills in every visitor. Here, dining isn't just about satisfying hunger—it's about forging connections, creating memories, and savoring the simple joys of life.In a world where dining experiences often blur together, this sushi haven stands as a beacon of excellence, reminding us of the profound impact a truly exceptional meal can have. “Best spot in queens to get your açaí bowl. I highly recommend. It’s so delicious and worth the trip. Very good quality and affordable prices. Let’s keep supporting the small local businesses! You won’t regret it. Excellent customer service and experience all the time.“
“I’m soo happy I stopped to get a juice from here,I will stop by and get Juice almost everytime I walk by,excellent fresh fruits and the service is amazing and the owner is such a nice man,I’m sure after you will meet him you will be a lifetime customer. ?♾️“
“I loved the vibe of the place and the staff were super friendly! Went there with a friend for lunch and although I’ve been to many playa bowl locations, I really liked the decoration and seating in this one. The staff made our bowls quickly and the person working the register was very patient with us as we decided what bowl we were going to get. Always recommend going here for a sweet treat with fresh fruits!“
“Found this spot while scrolling Tik Tok. Me and my sister decided to give it a try. My sister had a wrap and I had the vegan chop cheese. Both of our orders came with a salad. The salad was sooo fresh and delicious. We think they grow and use their own veggies in their dishes! Which is amazing. The chop cheese was sooooo freaking good. We ate our food while parked in-front of their restaurant. I ordered a plate for my dad because it was that good, healthy & filling. We ordered the chlorophyll water, it was bland. We didn’t like it much. Both of our dishes & drinks totaled to about $41.00. The chop cheese alone with tax was about $14.16.They do have outdoor seating. For indoor seating, you will have to make a reservation. There is also a different menu for indoor reservations. We will definitely be back“
“One of the friendliest, homeliest, and delicious places I have ever been to. The food is absolutely delightful, we got the sabich and shakshuka sandwiches, both were outstanding. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and homely and the people that run the place just seem absolutely lovely.“
“The Green LIC is a top notch health and wellness establishment. The owners demonstrate a clear understanding of their community, and the importance of wellness, Whole Foods, clean ingredients, and customer service. It is the juice bar I shop at exclusively in the neighborhood. I am proud to continue shopping with them and witness their growth. All the best to the team at The Green LIC!“
“This deli is the best! I get a smoothie from there almost every day, and it is 10000% better than any overpriced chain you might find in the neighborhood. Victor is the sweetest and has made me feel right at home since I moved to Williamsburg. Hard workers, humble, and some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet :)“
“This was my first experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I took advantage of the Tmobile Tuesdays free 24-ounce smoothie. I love peanut butter. So I decided to get the peanut paradise with whey protein. DELISH! There were so many things to try. I can't wait until my next trip. I've already downloaded the app to take advantage of the rewards program. Like happy hour, they have smoothie happy hour for any smoothie $4.99 from 7am-10am“
“The customers service soon as I walked in was great. The owner and the young lady at the register greeted me with a smile. They explained all type of smoothies they make , and how they accommodate if there is an item you don't like, and what they can replace it with. I got a protein smoothie which taste amazing. I will be coming in more often. Canarsie we got a good one. They also have a points reward system as well. The location is small but very welcoming. Home away from home.“
“Besides the fact that I love the food, the service is great every single time I go!! I believe her name is Nicolette, she is very knowledgeable, very sweet and gives me a great service every time I go. Over Greens is such a great spot I highly recommend!“
“EXCELLENT & BUDGET FRIENDLY - This is my go-to place for juices, smoothies, and acai bowls. The owners are kind and friendly, the ingredients are fresh, and they offer a loyalty punch card for repeat customers! I highly recommend this place over the others in Queensboro Plaza.“
“The best juice and smoothie in All of New York City. What an amazing experience. The menu has a wide variety of options, catering to different dietary needs and preferences. The freshness and quality of the ingredients are out of this world. The smoothie was perfectly blended, creating a smooth and creamy texture that is always enjoyable to drink. The best prices with high-quality fresh ingredients are a must try. I would definitely visit this juice smoothie business again and recommend it to everyone“
“They are very polite, friendly, they speak English and Spanish. The quality of the food is very very good. They have a variety of things for breakfast, you can make your own sandwich. Also, the price is average for New York prices (nowhere is cheap hehe)I recommend!!“
“Needed something fast and this place was close to my hotel. Absolutely delicious. I got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel and it was cooked to perfection. Great flavor, hot and the bagel was delicious. Enjoyed it so much I canceled my dinner plans and went back for a Reuben and onion rings. Highly recommend. I will crave this place and can’t wait to be back in the city to eat here again.“
“As a French, I can say that these pastries are delicious and definitely amongst the best in NY (pain au chocolat, kouign-amann ?)Love the vibe, all the foods and sandwiches I tried are freshly made and delicious. Perfect also to get some work done or read a book!(+ Dog friendly ! ??)“
