We chose the venue a little over a year ago and Brad and Megan were with us every step of the way planning and organizing our special day and it turned out perfect! We've visited frequently over the last year and gotten to know all of the staff there. From karaoke nights, to brewing our own beer to have on tap for the reception, to my wife being invited to play trumpet for one of their live music nights, you couldn't ask for a better place to call home. We will absolutely be going back as often as we can, and we recommend you do the same. 🙂“

“If you’ve seen the movie “The Menu” this is the Seneca Lake equivalent however without the tragic ending. Watch the movie then go to this place because the food is phenomenal, maybe you’ll see the connection. In all seriousness great place to eat, recommend reservations in advance, if you love German cuisine this is a must while in the Lake Seneca region. Indoor and outdoor seating, it’s just a fantastic place and would tell anyone to go and give it a rip for the experience and food.“

“My wife and I visited Atwater Vineyards at the recommendation of another winery owner, and we were so happy we came by for a tasting. We met with George, who was so knowledgeable about the wines and enriched our tasting experience. Getting to enjoy the wines is one thing, but we both love to learn about the wines, the process, history, region, and the other factors that go into the making of the wines themselves. We learned so much from George.

Many of the whites were fantastic, but I particularly enjoyed their new 2023 Riesling, and we also liked the Pinot Gris (not a wine we have very often). We also purchased bottles of the Cabernet Franc and the Chardonnay Reserve. My wife is not normally a fan of Chardonnay, so the fact that she enjoyed it that much speaks volumes.

The view is also fantastic. We truly enjoyed our visit and we loved George's hat so much, we bought ones for ourselves as well.“

“Delicious burger and wine pairing! Give Red Newt a try for your next weekend lunch, you'll be glad you did! I had the newt burger with fries and a glass of Red Eft. The local ingredients create a hearty meal that fueled me rather than weighed me down. Can't wait to try another burger or a grilled cheese and soup. They put an elegant twist on all they do with bright and friendly staff.“

“We stopped in yesterday and had a nice bottle of wine. Assistant Wine Maker Rhett Seeley stopped by to chat. Never met him before, but he was passing by and we asked him for some recommendations. He was extremely helpful and friendly. We ended up buying the wines he recommended as well as some beautiful garlic, a bag of coffee and some wine glasses! They are known for their dry reds and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend adding Hector Wine Company to your list of stops along the wine trail.“

“Laid back place to enjoy a meal in the Finger Lakes...which was great cause most wineries did not have great food choices. Most in the group had hamburgers and they were delicious. Staff was super friendly and food came out hot and quick. Not the biggest fan of their fries, but the spicy onion rings were excellent. Definitely a must stop to soak up the wine you are drinking. And if you like borboun, they have almost every Buffalo Trace company bottle at phenomenal prices...try some Pappy. Only warning is be careful in the Luxury bathroom...the bidet can scare the unwary.“

“We didn’t stay here but my wife and I got ice cream one afternoon during our trip to Watkins Glen. It is a great place to get good homemade ice cream! Way better than the Ben & Jerry’s that is nearby. Skip the national name brand and get this ice cream. You won’t regret it!“
