“Great place to hang out at onna Friday night .. 2 for 1 domestic beers ... bartenders could have payed attention to us customers alittle more. Liz is the best and was t there when I was there but these young kids bartenders needs to pay attention the older customers who will tip better if they are given better service . We have the jobs that allow us to tip better then these young kids.“
“Held a private birthday party here and we had such a nice time. Great cozy atmosphere, good food and such amazing staff. It’s such an inviting space and Gina was phenomenal to work with in planning the event. Super accommodating, friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how flexible she was with us. Thank you again NVT for the memories made!!“
“Classy old school irish joint serving only 30 and over,no food avail, just potent drinks made right and ice cold beer served by professional and friendly bartenders,Inside is updated with beautiful wood accents, chandeliers and comfortable high stool seating along the long beautiful full bar, flat screens to watch the big game & Good, mature clientele frequent the place, stopped in with my friend the other night and had some of the best Irish coffee I ever had! Definitely check out Lindsay's before or after dinner with good friends or family!“
“Great place to come and relax at the bar for happy hour! They have a lot of different types of beers and ciders on tap. Also, they have good seltzers and canned beverage selections like high noon, white claws, and nurtrls. The bartender was really nice and friendly. TVs were huge to watch sports. Will definitely be back to try their food soon!“
“Usually there during the day and usually see Christine who is the best. Food is exceptionally good for a local pub and the menu is pretty extensive. When we come in for dinner, there are a number of ladies who have been there for a while and always take good care of us. Great Salads, Burgers, and of course Wings.“
“What you'd probably expect at a place called Tap Room is a wide variety of beers on tap. And you'd be right. What you might not expect is great food! The menu options at Tap Room far defied my expectations in terms of variety and flavor. All told, solid dining experience.“
“Great place to have seafood . Food is very delicious . I had a dragon roll which was good size . Bass was melting in my mouth and buttery but lacked seasoning. Fries very good size but not crispy. They need to work on fries . Greek salad was more of tomato salad than Greek salad . Lacking major Mediterranean elements .Dietary restrictions: Kosher“
“This place is going to be a favorite of mine in 2024. I recently celebrated my birthday at Harrison during brunch. The service was exceptionally attentive and personal. The food was fantastic with ample portions with left-overs tasing just as good as when dined. The music was classic rock with a lot of great classic americana portraits and photos of nostalgia. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and we never had to wait. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with this restaurant. I must also add that the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Harrison is five stars.“
“This restaurant can lend itself to a very noisy environment. Yet today, with several tables taken, conversation was easy and able to be heard. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. Shared their homemade flourless chocolate cakes served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Three happy people after an excellent brunch.“
“BC Bistro is a very nice restaurant that serves brunch and dinner. Both times I've been here I've done brunch and both times were very good. They have a really nice brunch menu, including the awesome breakfast pizza, breakfast Risotto, and a lot of different items to choose from. It's gets pretty busy during brunch, with live music, so book s reservation!“
“This place is always spot on. Service is always with a smile, a place that remembers their regulars, consistent pours, consistently great food. Their HAPPY HOUR is an awesome deal also. The owner is always engaged with his patrons and encourages feedback.Highly recommended!!!“
“My recent experience was exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Daria. From her warm greetings to her attentive care throughout the meal, every interaction was a testament to her professionalism and dedication. Highly recommended for both delicious food and impeccable service.“
“What a great lil dive bar(I love myself a good dive bar). Food was great and our bartender Gabby(Friday night is when we were here) was so AHH-MAZING!! Definable will come back here again when in town! Music was great, basketball on all the tvs and quick draw too (keno to me in Massachusetts). Short drive from Hofstra University (why we are here )“
“We three ate here today. Tony, visiting from Ireland, and I each had the 1/2 rack of ribs which we both agreed was excellant, fall off the bone good. I had as my 2 sides collard greens and corn. Both sides were very good, seemed to have a slight pickled flavor and went down easily. She had the pulled pork sandwich, which she found excellent to include the thin bread, and she had to have the bread pudding for dessert, which was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, so we had to help her finish it as it was too big for one person! Definitely the best rib place for both ribs and sides, we look forward to returning. The interior may seem a bit small but in the good sunny sumertime they have outdoor seating for well over a hundred diners. There's plenty of free parking, it's all located in the area behind Fairchild's Funeral parlor. The service is friendly and timely. Do yourself a favor, if you like ribs, you'll like the SmokHaus.Parking: Huge free parking lot behind behind the restaurant“
“What an adorable little place for a cocktail! Cute and cozy vibes. Friendly bartender. Interesting and moderately priced drinks. We stopped in for some pre dinner cocktails and were really impressed with this place. Will definitely be back!“
“My twin daughters' had their Sweet 16 dinner with 20 friends. The food, the atmosphere, the service, the accomodarions....OUTSTANDING!Vegetarian options: The have plenty of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: The staff was so welcoming to 20 teenagers for 3 hours! The owner and staff were so very considerate to them all!“
“Drinks served with PRIDE. Frank, Eric and Vin are the best. Bouncers and owners are very friendly. Vibes and atmosphere are immaculate. Service is great even on busy nights! Live music/ DJ on weekends. Trivia on Mondays. Great happy hour Private party room is perfect for events. If you are looking for a bar in the area their are many but if you are looking for a great bar Ridge is the place.Happy appy appetizers :)“
“The Broadway Tavern is a place tucked away in Malverne and is a great place for people to meet and socialize. They have many different events every week to keep everyone happy. The outdoor garden is a hidden gem where you can hold family gatherings and have a great time. They have great entertainment on weekends and provide the best in service. Malverne should be pleased to have such a great establishment!“
“I had received a gift card for this restaurant as a Christmas gift and decided to dine out and use the gift card that night. Although I had reserved a table, the wait time was lenghty. The staff were very pleasant and we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the Salmon with capers. It was perfectly done and quite delectable. I would order it again. Thank you. It was a nice dining experience.“
“I just recently hosted a retirement party here for my parents, and it truly could not have been a better experience. From first contact to the day of the event, Matt was so responsive and receptive to my requests. It was a seamless and stress free planning process, which made planning a surprise party so much easier. We did cocktail style passed appetizers, which were all delicious and plentiful for our about 60 person party! The wait and bar staff was so kind and helpful as well!! Everyone had a fantastic time and my parents had a retirement party to remember! Additional bonus was how convincing the host was about bringing us to our table (grabbing 6 menus and then going to check that our table was ready), my parents were clueless that there was a party for them until the second the doors opened!“
“My first time at this venue, I must say I had a great time. It's not a big venue, but there's plenty room to dance and socialize. Security was super tight. It's located in a nice part of Woodmere, plenty of parking, and it's feet's away from Woodmere Lanes, so you can get your Bowling on.“
“This bar was originally under a different name then it closed and recently reopened with a new name. Inside it looks like absolutely nothing was changed. Same large bar area filled with TVs showing sports, pool tables, and a few high tops scattered around. They had a decent crowd on a Saturday night and you could tell it was mostly regulars. The bartenders are super nice and always remember what you're drinking. This is not the place to go if you want fancy craft beer or the best cocktail of your life. It's very much a dive with a friendly group of people and more of a local watering hole. Not a bad spot to kick back, watch the game, and enjoy a cold one.“
“The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“
“Quaint little bar with great wing and drink specials on Wednesdays and has been a quintessential part of the Wantagh bar scene for about as long as I can remember and even before that. You can always count on friendly faces and cold drinks but definitely be prepared to bump some elbows when it gets busy because it gets tight! Plenty of parking both in the from and back of the bar.“
“Educational dinners in Queens typically do not work with my schedule as I only periodically work in the borough. However, my schedule aligned with a dinner being held at Il Toscano - and since the topic was of particular interest to me I made plans to attend. Two of my colleagues who were joining had great things to say about the restaurant, so I was really excited to check it out. There seems to be two Il Toscanos, one in Commack and the other here in Douglaston. The latter is conveniently located right by the LIRR - you can actually park in the station's lot and they'll validate it. Walking in, I was immediately greeted with old school vibes - the restaurant opened in 1985 and it doesn't look like the styling was changed much. That's a complement by the way - it doesn't look dated and has been kept up and refreshed in a very strategic way. In addition to the main level dining room, they have an upstairs dining room where we were seated. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that we had full access to their menu, and were able to order an appetizer, entree, and dessert. This is rare when going to one of these dinners, as I'm usually limited to certain menu items. They don't have a large menu - sections are marked off for apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. I decided to start off with the Mediterranean pulpo; I really enjoyed this - it was a sizeable octopus leg which was served with white beans and andouille sausage all in a tasty Romanesco sauce. All of the flavors worked really well together. For my main I went with the Semolina Crusted Jumbo Shrimp. The shrimp were lightly breaded and served with crispy leeks and risotto. The dish was good - the shrimp were a good size and the risotto was cooked well. At this point my colleagues and I all wanted to try each other's dishes so we did some swaps. One of them had ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese which was quite good. My other colleague had the lasagna which was made with a bolognese and béchamel sauces; this was good too - the béchamel was an interesting addition and the pasta was cooked al dente. For dessert I had their signature Napoleon which was super creamy but also light and airy; the flavor and texture were on point. Service was great, food came out a good pace in relation to the presentation and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a great time at Il Toscano - this was one of the best educational dinners I've been to in a while and part of that is due to the great experience that the restaurant provided. I would definitely return for another meal.“
“Attended a large party at the Irish Poet for my establishment's annual holiday party. For apps, there were chafing dishes of chicken tenders, wings, and pigs in the blanket. I preferred the chicken tenders as the wings and pigs got a bit soggy. Then we were presented with mains: salad, penne a la vodka, chicken franchise, and sliced steak (almost like pot roast), along with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. The highlights were the steak, potatoes, and vegetables. Most dishes were lukewarm at best. I like my salad dressing on the side, and a thicker vodka sauce. The salad had so much dressing it wilted the lettuce. For dessert, Italian cookies were served but there were hardly enough to go around. I realize a lot of people skip dessert but it wasn't a good look to be short. Overall, I think a few adjustments to the food should be made in the future. That being said, Amy was a fantastic server. In fact, all of the staff/bartenders were attentive, taking orders, and cleaning up.“
“amazing experience if you ever go there ask for the server terrel. hes very funny and a nice humble gentleman. i swear out of 35 years of my life this might be the best server i ever had. the food was amazing i got the salmon and it was cooked perfect and so tasty“
“I went to this bar and was thoroughly amazed. Our bartender Sam was absolutely awesome. She was engaging and funny and made our time there very memorable. What was supposed to be 2 rounds turned out to be all afternoon and into the evening. She made sure to keep us thoroughly entertained and hydrated. I highly recommend this bar and Sam as the bartender. We will be coming back...“
“From the moment we walked into Maggianos lottle italy, we were enveloped by the cozy and inviting ambiance that sets the perfect stage for an authentic Italian dining experience. We ordered branzino and chicken francese. Chicken was so tender and juicy and the fish was fresh and savory.“
“The Tipsy Barrel is a cozy neighborhood bar located in the heart of downtown. The dark wood décor and soft lighting create a warm, welcoming ambiance. The bar features an extensive selection of craft beers on tap, with a rotating selection that highlights local breweries. They also offer a curated list of wines and signature cocktails.“
“Very nice evening. Our server was Mary. She was assisted by Jose Luis. As always, the service was excellent. The dinner also was excellent. I had the Double Cut Berkshire Pork Chop on a bed of vegetable minestrone. Unbelievable in taste and size of portion. My wife had the Butternut Squash Risotto with Shrimp and thoroughly enjoyed it. We're already looking forward to our next visit.“
“For people coming in the first time: there's two sections; the bar and the dining area. If you are going to dine in, make sure to go on the side where they have the benches/chairs not the one by the bar. We waited a while to get served because of this. Though staff was accommodating and helpful. The crowd/atmosphere was more of like mature, dive bar-ish. The food was good; not extremely tasty, it tastes homemade and delicious. The drinks were pretty good. Reminds me of a traditional pub in Ireland.“
“Great local stop. Wings were great...should have been on list via social media as some of best of Long Island. They do lack social media, ie Instagram. They could benefit from that. Staff seems great. Drinks cold and fresh. Nice inviting atmosphere. Just need an Instagram to keep up and remain relevant“
“Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“
“This is our “go to “ place for years! Wonderful atmosphere and great food!We recently hosted a party for 50 people and could not have been more pleased with the service and food. The upstairs party room is beautiful and well suited for private events.“
“I had the best time at my teacher's retirement party cause I got to see my friend, teacher, meet his family, give great speeches, and have fun. Plus, I they were showing pictures of all of us in his class plus photos of my teacher helping and teaching kids, and it was the best night of my life. So book any parties and birthdays to this restaurant and have a great time. Also, remember to bring kids cause it helps to care for friends and families with love, kindness, and friendship.Wheelchair accessibility: I did see 2 people in wheelchairs because it helps to care for people with disabilities no matter especially the elderly as well!!!“
“Seafood allergy havers rejoice you have finally found somewhere you can eat fried food!! Their wings are delicious, the mozzarella triangles are a must have, and if you like pretzels the giant pretzel is amazing! Justin, our server and the bartender, was incredibly nice. We will be returning regularly.Dietary restrictions: They have no seafood at all!“
“This is the best bar in Hempstead. One of the best in the area. It's nothing but great food, great drinks, great music and most of all great vibes. Definitely a perfect place to just come and unwind alone or with good company. The owners and staff are amazing!“
“You looking for a Caribbean spot, check out 12.6. I had such an amazing time.. The place looks good. I came in after work on a Friday with a couple of friends. The bartender omg ...Super friendly and the drinks.. let me tell you, yes it definitely was a punching. The food was great the jerk snapper and jerk salmon pasta, fried shrimp, calamari, wings and the rum punch , yesssss......Definitely visit this place. Big shout out to the Bartender Shorn for providing excellent service.“
“Our GO TO pub in Baldwin. It's like walking into Cheers Bar - everyone knows your name and you are greeted with a hug and a smile. Shay is just the BEST and the staff is simply amazing. We love watching games, listening to the bands and playing trivia on Thursday night. Just a GREAT hometown place to hang!!!“
“Came in for dinner with my kids(we are visiting from Massachusetts) we put them back at the hotel and we came back cuz the vibe was so great! Food was AHH-MAZING! Service was on point ! Big Rangers bar and from the decor it also looks like a big Raiders bar as well...closing time says 11pm but that's not true, it's based on volume of people in the bar. If they are making money they will stay open. HIGHLY recommend!! Allof the servers and bartenders were great! Cant say enough about this place!! 5“
“Great local bar! What a great bar, with a super chill laid back vibe. I was looking for a local bar with Karaoke for my birthday and I am so glad my friend recommended this place! Dennis behind the bar was excellent! Great personality and very attentive. It may seem like a small thing, but I really liked (and appreciated) that he automatically served a glass of water with each drink (I was drinking whiskey). Everything was nice and clean, and the drinks were so reasonably priced! There was a good selection of food also, and although I didn't eat anything, my friends ordered wings and enjoyed them. I will definitely be back!“
“Went for a work function. Had drinks and appetizers. Corn beef/cabbage taco, calamari, wings, dip really good. Angel of NY and espresso martini delicious. We sat outside in the tent that was nice with the warm weather. Looking forward to going back.“
“We were Visiting around the area, hadn't been in a while since we moved away. But it was my husband's 50th bday and were feeling nostalgic. We stopped in at Whiskeys because we could see it had a facelift. It's More than just a coat of paint. It used to be an unsavory dive bar. Now it's great! 3 taps , that includes Guinness. Nice liquors. CLEAN. Brand new bathrooms makeovers. With the art on the walls now it's got vibe. Shift change meant we got to hang with both Steve and Alex. Really nice to see the place looking so good and brought back to life. They had a DJ coming in for Sat night. If I still lived around there I would make it my local and enjoy darts and good tunes regularly.“
“Nice bar. There are two areas inside - the bar area of course and there's another partition for dining in. We sat at the bar (in which you can eat as well). Now I won't pretend to be a beer connoisseur. Aside from 'cheap' beer, I'm more of a mixed drink guy. I don't know a thing about 'IPAs' or any of that. That being said, for those who do like beer, there are plenty of options in that regard. For those more like me with regular drinks, the bar had more than enough in selection. The lighting wasn't good, so I wasn't able to take menu snaps - but the menu had a good general selection. I went for the 'Thomas Jefferson' burger (w/ fries) and it was very tasty. I did see someone else order a Bavarian pretzel, so next time I'm here I'm going to have to try that. Really, the burger was so tasty I'd definitely try other things for sure. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and frankly real good. The staff in general were all good. There were several TV's showing an assortment of things. This place shares the space with other businesses and there is a lot to park. The lot is a little smaller side, but you should be able to find a spot.Overall a comfortable place with a good staff and food/drink options - a nice bar in the area and one I'd easily return to.“
“Came here for pearl jam night and it was great. The service is awesome and the owner Ricky greets you personally at the door. We had reservations and I definitely recommend doing the same. The place was packed on a Thursday. The food is top notch. I had the baked clams and wife had the deviled eggs. Both were great. I ordered the fish and chips for my main and it was insane. The platter comes out stacked high with plenty of chips and the fish had a crunch that will literally drown out all the noise around you. I haven't had fish and chips like this. They served it up with tartar sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar for the fries and a charred lemon. My wife had the blackened Mahi fish tacos. Came with a bowl of rice that was tasty.“
“This was my first visit to JPs. I thought it was great! Nice place to sit and unwind. I played a little Quick Draw and drank my drink. Mind u not shy with the alcohol. The bartender Luisa was just the sweetest woman! U could tell she really loves her job. Very attentive and accommodating. I also tried their food. I had fried zucchini sticks and mild buffalo wings. They came out piping hit, watch your mouth, lol. Luisa makes the marinara for the zucchini sticks. Delicious!! Also the night I was there they had live rap performances from local rappers, that was fun too. All and all I would recommend JPs to anyone looking for a great night out! I will definitely go again. They also make pizza, gotta go back at least to try that. Thanks to Luisa for making my first night out in a long time a great one!!“
“His & Hers Bar and Lounge is a great place to visit. Stopped in to watch the game. The drinks and apps were great, and the owner and staff were extremely nice. It's was a few days before Christmas, and the owner was dressed as Santa, giving out toy and photo op.Will definitely be back. They sure won't disappoint.“
“We went to this bar after watching Jokoy's show at the UBS arena so you can imagine we were already hype. We pick this cause it was the closest and has two reviews but both with 5 stars. And this place did not disappoint. It's not the bar, it's the group of friends who hang at this place includes the owner. We had the best time! We even follow each other after on Instagram.“
“I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality. I definitely would recommend Aperitif to anyone who needs a break from the ordinary run-of-the-mill dining experiences. Thank you Jamal and Staff, Michael“
