“Fantastic service and wine. We really enjoyed chatting with our server during the tasting. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. We will absolutely need to come back
and try the restaurant. The flight of 6 pours is worth the price. Great selection of dry whites and reds. I recommend the steel cast chardonnay and siegerrebe both are amazing. As someone who normally hates chardonnay my mind was blown.“
“It's nice for a change to be able to taste wines that aren't full of complexity. I chose the varieties that would give me more of the Concord grape flavor and am happy to say they had many. Their back deck overlooking their pond is so enjoyable. Also our visit by a very talkative pony was quite t he treat. Jamie took exceptional care and had the patience of a Saint. We've put this wine out at Halloween for the parents that accompany the children and it's been a hit. So we returned to restock for this year. Not a over the top fussy or fancy winery, but definitely friendly staff and great ?.“
“Their selection of wines is excellent. I recently stopped there for a tasting. Very nice atmosphere, the owners are great, very friendly and wonderful hosts and took the time to tell us all about their wines. We visited several wineries that day, and this one was our favorite.“
“When my wife and I arrived, we were very skeptical when we heard that all you offered was a "flight". This presentation was different from what we know as a traditional tasting. However,...we actually enjoyed the flight. Our server Gate was very attentive and personable. We were there on Wednesday 9/4/24 in the early afternoon, the winery was not crowded at all. We liked the presentation of the different flights. We liked that each wine was poured in its own individual wine glass. When we went to Ventosa, they too offered a flight, however, only one of the five wines was poured in an actual wine glass, the other four were in plastic shot cups. A pathetic presentation!!! Our experience at Anthony Rhodes was positive!!! Thanks Gate!!!!“
“place was beautifu, had a nice wine selection and wonderful staff throughout the different buildings but unfortunately the strawberry tangerine cider seems to be a bad batch or something. we bought a few 4 packs while visiting but every person that drank them is now sick in some way. the others who drank everything but that one are fine. maybe a bad batch for them cans who knows but be cautious with that drink.“
“Miles Wine Cellars was the perfect place for our small, intimate wedding. The setting was stunning and our stay at the Inn was cozy and comfortable. Staff was accommodating and friendly, sparing no detail. Food was fabulous and perfectly paired with our wine choices. We highly recommend Miles Wine Cellars. Thank you again for making our day so special and memorable.“
“Fox Run Food and Wine pairing event is possibly the best event in the FLX. It is the first event we book when visiting. We just attended our 5th event and it was the best. Chef Brud Holland is a culinary genius, using locally sourced ingredients to create delicious bites that pair wonderfully with Fox Run wines. The tour is a must, lending insight to the community and cooperation of the FLX wineries. Already planning our trip next year!“
“Just an impromptu stop while working our way around some wineries between Seneca and Cayuga, but so glad we found this little gem. Not busy at all when we stopped but most likely because the Watkins Glen Wine fest was going on at the same time. Randy was super friendly and very informative and even gave us a short tour of the facility. Bruce(owner) was in and out and we got to hear the story of how the Sheperdess got its name. DO NOT miss this place if you like your dry reds!! My wife and I thought they were some of the best tasting and full bodied reds in the region. They had a couple whites that were excellent but not our choice. The selection was limited but I would rather see fewer wines with better quality any day. Make sure to put this on your visit list if you are into high quality reds and whites(they also had a white sangria that we did not try).“
“We've enjoyed Blackduck Cidery every summer for several years now. The owners knowledge of cider and the story of how the cidery came to fruition is a reason alone to stop by for a visit. They have several types; some dry ciders, some perry's, some still, some sparkling but all delicious and true to the heritage of cidery.(sidra)We'll be visiting soon and hope you're well stocked with bottles to go.“
“We chose Geneva, NY because it is halfway between our two families and we both really love wine. Zugibe was on the top of my list from the beginning, but I was so happy that it was just as beautiful in person as it was in the photos. We had the whole venue to ourselves, which was so great. The views were spectacular, and we for to watch the sunset during dinner. The wine was delicious--we drank rose all night. Amy was so easy to work with and her staff were so on top of it. She was flexible with us doing our rehearsal two days early, and allowed us to drop things off at the venue well in advance, which was so helpful. There was not one thing I asked Amy that she did not find a way to make it work. We originally wanted to do the dancing outside in front of the pavilion (due to weather we ended up under the tent), but Amy was so helpful and willing to make that work. We had a perfect day at Zugibe.“
“Did a tasting of cider and mead. It was a gorgeous location, and they had ape truly unique flavors. The ciders utilizing strong spices like cinnamon and ginger were surprisingly muted while still letting the flavors come through.
They are also gnome themed! This especially appealed to me.“
“Definitely visit this winery, it is a gem in the Finger Lakes!! Wow, what a great experience tasting high quality wines! We had a great tasting experience, with a very attentive and thoughtful staff explaining each wine and where the grapes are grown,. It’s obvious that there is a high detail on quality which is reflected in exquisite wines. We loved everything we tasted including the sparkling Riesling,, the Chardonnay and the Blanc de Blanc. Like everyone else, we left with a big box of wine and hope to join their club so that we can enjoy this wine year round. Thank you Susan for making this a special experience!“
“There were many options in the town but we picked Sheldrake Point Winery and I think it was the right choice . We loved all wines we tried and bought 4 bottles before left. Ppl were kind with big smiles and of course the winery absolutely gorgeous!“
“Great wine and staff. they are a part of harvest hosts. RelaxRV.org/discounts“
“We got married at Ventosa in September! Everything was perfect! RJ and Jackie were amazing! The staff was incredible and made everything so seamless! Everything from having food at our table from cocktail hour to allowing us to use their golf cart for photos! We can not say enough about this venue and all the people involved! They made our day magical and we can not thank them enough!“
“My husband and I came here with our 3mo. old and had such a lovely and pleasant experience. We only had time for ONE winery on Cayuga and we chose Lucas because of its history. We came in JUST in time for their last tasting and Carol greeted us and took care of us during our visit at Lucas Winery. She was FABULOUS. Extremely knowledgeable and HONEST about the wines. I love that you get to choose the wines you want from a menu instead of being stuck with a specific 4 or 5. She also added another wine to taste (and we ended up buying it, plus many other bottles because we loved their whites VERY much…one of their workers also brought the box to our car which was so nice.). We met another couple there and made great conversation and just had a total blast. We can’t forget this winery and next time we are back, we will visit again!! Thank you, Carol, for making our experience so great!!!!“
“Given the area, this place was a welcome treat. Their menu is clearly labeled and changes often. Nice outdoor seating. We ordered 2 salads, a Beyond Burger, a Big A** pretzel, artichoke hush puppies, and had fried sunchokes(!). Salads were great (tough to get a good salad around here), Beyond burger was delish, artichoke hush puppies were great if you are a fan of hush puppies, and sunchokes are a delight just for existing! Unfortunately, the pretzel was dry and bread-y. It was our least fave item and wouldn't recommend it.“

“I give four stars because the view is amazing here. We were there right at lunch time on a Friday. Even then it was starting to get extremely busy. Inside was very loud. As cool as it was we opted to sit outside. Initially the service was good and we got out food fairly quickly. Then the waitress must have gotten really busy because after I got the check she didn’t come back for quite some time. We ended up being there a lot longer than we thought. We were going to do a wine tasting after lunch but it was way too busy and we decided to leave. They also only had one bathroom stall each for men and women so there were lines with all the people there. Nice place but very busy.“
“great tasting wines and friendly servers. love this winery!“

“A very nice lunch at this beautiful place on the lake. The place is so beautiful that it is itself enough to go.
The room is very "old fashioned" and traditional even if it looked a little worn out.
The food we had was of a very good quality although the servings were average to small. A bit pricey but it was evident it had to be so. Worth a visit anyhow!“

“Beautiful old-school vineyard still set up in the old-school way, they have a beautiful fireplace they like to light up and burn when it's freezing out, and have wine while sitting around enjoying each other. That's the way I imagined it anyway. But I loved it here, they actually had some of the best wines I tasted in the area.“
