“We had the MOSt amazing day! We did a wine tasting and met an incredible man named John Pulos. John was out tasting guide but shared his amazing knowledge of wine along with his unequaled knowledge of the Titanic,If you ever have a chance to go to meet him....I recommend you do! Thanks for an amazing wine tasting education and a journey legendary story!!“
“If you like sweet wines this is the place to taste! The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. We couldn't understand why we were the only ones there! Beautiful view while you taste as well. We bought the chocolate, peach, and port. Delish!“
“I don't remember this winery from our last visit 10 years ago so it must be newer on the wine tour. We had a good time sampling the wines and I sampled the whiskey for $2 (super small sample). They have a ton of items like fudge, wine, whiskey and many items for sale.“
“Place has great vibes and the staff is phenomenally attentive. This winey is not on the popular wine trails, but shouldn't be missed. We left with a bottle of Peach and Raspberry wines, both very tasty. The stone fired pizzas they were cooking also looked amazing.“
“We were passing by and decided to stop on a whim, Conner was so amazing and we had the best time. Great wine, amazing experience. Theres such an awesome view of the lake and everyone working there was so wonderful. Will absolutely go out of my way to go there any time I’m anywhere near the area!!“
“I love the winery and their wines. I like to age wine and push the aging limits specially Pinots and Merlot. I recently opened a 2010 Pinot and it did not disappointed me. It tasted like a $500 dollar bottle. I just wish they had an online store.“
“We're not from around this area (or country), but on our way back from a hike, we stopped over at this winery. The views are spectacular of the lake and the wines (especially the Riesling), is delicious! Reccomend 110% if you have some time.“
“We were here looking for different wineries that we haven't tried and this place I do not remember. It has a cool logo of a flame and a winery called Toast can't be a bad thing. As I read about this winery before visiting, the owner has something in common such as me as a home wine maker, working in corporate america and working as a college professor. Wine is what relaxes me but it's a lot of hard work for sure, happy to see someone made this a dream and it's going well. We arrived inside sat at a table provided a list of wines to choose from in our tasting. Our waitress or waiter would come over and fill our glass up with a sample of our choice of wine that we wanted to try. The high falution was my favorite and purchased 3 bottles of this to go. This is a new favorite stop for us, especially how good the wine is. Cheers for a great first visit. We will be back.“
“We ended our day trip to the winery at Standing Stone. The atmosphere, wine, and costomer service were all out of this world! It was our favorite stop all day.Unfortunately, our friend driving had her car battery die while we were inside. The workers stayed nearly an hour after their closing shift to help jump our car, provide us a warm place to sit, and went above and beyond to let us know they were there to help! I think this goes to show what kind of friendly employees as well as an organic experience you can expect to have at Standing Stone. It will now be a must stop on our next trip to the winery!“
“Anyone that doesn't rate this winery 5 stars has no palate. I have been to Germany and visited their best (Prum, Haag, von Schubert, Kerpen and others). I know what great Riesling is. This winery hits greatness whereas others are very good, at best. There are some new wineries that show great promise but they are all vying for #2.“

“This was a great last stop during our day of wine tastings! The wine maker was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to take our time with tasting, and our designated drivers were able to go enjoy the bakery. Highly recommend stopping here!“
“Stopped here for our first wine tasting and enjoyed our wine on the dock on the water. The view and atmosphere were fantastic! Our wines were delicious and the staff was so friendly. They happily served water to our pup. Locals were pulling up to the dock for wine as well. Would definitely come back!“
“This was a different visit. One of the reasons that we came to the area not only to celebrate another Anniversary but to pick up 300 lbs of cuyahoga white grapes to bring back home to process into wine. One thing I learned is to have bins and or something to store the grapes in. The guy helping me was friendly and helpful to help me out. Another thing I learned do not drive 6 hours for grapes, a lot of work at the end unless you have people to help you process it all when you get home. But the grapes were good and a good experience obtaining and picking them up. Simple ordering process.“
“This vineyard is really special. It is truly family-run and operated, and the family is lovely, hospitality is clearly in their DNA. We took a tour, which was led by the owner, started with glasses of sparkling wine, and included him pouring us a glass directly out of the barrel - see picture for evidence! :) We had a charcuterie board with our wine tasting which was amazing, as were the wines! The views are beautiful, it’s right on the lake. The indoor space is also cozy and thoughtfully designed. You would be missing out not to stop by this vineyard while you’re in Finger Lakes.“
“Amazing wine and snacks! We prefer sweet wines over dry wines and this place had an excellent selection of sweet wines! Pretty good view from the patio of Seneca Lake. Extremely dog friendly! We were able to buy 3 bottles of wine to take home and the flight was free, such a great idea!“
“The Best thing we did was join their wine club, and this winters shipment has just arrived for Christmas, its the gift that keeps on giving! We've been going to the Finger Lakes for 5 yrs now, and this is one of our favorite stops! Too bad shipping isn't included or we would've gotten a few more bottles?“
“We've enjoyed Blackduck Cidery every summer for several years now. The owners knowledge of cider and the story of how the cidery came to fruition is a reason alone to stop by for a visit. They have several types; some dry ciders, some perry's, some still, some sparkling but all delicious and true to the heritage of cidery.(sidra)We'll be visiting soon and hope you're well stocked with bottles to go.“
“The staff is fantastic! Not snooty like some of the other wineries on 414. The owner assisted us and determining the best wine for us. She was welcoming, informative, and incredibly sweet! This winery may not be everyone's cup of tea but they have made me a life long fan. Forever grateful that we walked thru the door and it felt like home. The wine selection is amazing and I have yet to have had a bad wine from Rasta! Highly recommend- especially if you like nostalgia from the 60's, 70's , and more!!!“
“Dry Rose 2022 was (is) a great wine for sharing over a friendly brunch with friends. No matter how particular and fussy some people are about what they consider to be "good" wine or proper pairings (not that they are all that expert!), everyone enjoyed and filled their glass for a second time (and a couple for a third!). Good thing I had bottles in reserve! A very friendly and enjoyable wine that complemented without competing with brunch. A good choice.“
“On our recent visit to the area, my wife & I stopped in Red Newt Cellars. It came highly recommended by friends we met on our trip. Glad they did.The person who did our wine tasting did a great job. Very friendly. Explained the wines well (forgot her name). We found their wines had such a great taste. Full bodied. Many to choose from too. Sooo good! Must have been. I know I bought every wine from my tasting. I usually never do that. We bought a case and probably 3 bottles beside that.Just like other wineries in the area, tastings were very reasonable. It was very clean, and staff was very friendly. View of Lake Seneca outside was great. We would definitely make this a stop when we go back. I know we will be purchasing many bottles again!“
“Great little spot for delicious, reasonably priced wines. We tried the semi-flight and bought almost every one of them to take home! Liked the Tremitt so well we bought 2. The liqueurs are also QUITE good. Sweet, but tasty. Pumpkin Spice was surprisingly good and great for fall! The port has a nice cherry flavor.“
“This place was a little surprise a little jewel box of a tasting room. The wines which are now blended by Nathan K or the owners son are some you should seriously try. He's trained at the best of the best and it shows. The family owned this place with a group but as time went on they went their separate ways and the family kept it for themselves but needed a winemaker and they would have one in their son. Mom and dad were there and Mom did our tasting. She was lovely and warm and we talked about a lot of wines and how things evolved. The wines are perfectly nuanced and for a serious wine drinker you can appreciate them. It's not a big spot but they have a lovely little area outside and I don't doubt they get slammed in the warmer months. It's 4.5/5 Just give them a whirl... They have parking“
“My husband and I did not get a tasting flight because we arrived after 5:00, but we received a complimentary taste in a shared glass of two wines and bought a cold bottle for our evening sip. The vibe is modern. The wine is authentic and the service was very accommodating.“
“You won’t regret stopping here. We had the sweet flight and shared.nice size samples. We walked out with one of each and a few doubles. I however don’t like sparkling wine but that’s a personal preference. Finger lakes has so many wineries this is one I wouldn’t skip. Friendly hostess and clean environment with a few gifts on the shelves.“
“We loved the wines and more so our wine guide, Michelle. After being turned away at 4:10 at a neighboring winery, we were greated warmly by Michelle. The NV Brut is fav. Thank u for making day off fr9m te India better day. I'd definitely recommend my customers to you wimery!“
“This unassuming, vibrant red building was recommended to us during a nearby tasting. If you enjoy fruit wines or sweet wines, this is definitely a place to try! It was good bang for your buck and we got to pick the 5 wines we tried. Fiancée really enjoyed the wines and we never would’ve tried it without the recommendation so I hope anyone reading this tries it too!“
“A great visit today at Cayuga Ridge Winery. Bobby was our host and she gave us a wealth of information and sharing on the viticultures, history of grapes in the area, and a great life she has lived so far. Interesting offerings for this season. We will stop back on the next wine trip.“
“They do have some food - more like appetizers Curds are not hot. They are good but not fried The first bite wasn't good but after that it was Views are good Servers are nice Wine is good (funny names) 5 for $10 They also have slushies (we were there in Jan)“
“I've stopped at HWC a couple of times during work/wine trips upstate on word of mouth recommendations. The service and hospitality has always been wonderful, and I've always had great conversations with the staff. The wines are great too! As with any fuller-bodied reds in the FLX, they vary a lot from vintage to vintage, but I've had enough wonderful, age-worthy wines here that I'd always stop by and taste through the current offerings to see if there's anything I want to bring home. Wish y'all were distributed in NJ!“

“In my opinion, this winery has some of the best Chardonnay on the lake. We’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. In fact, we make sure to always visit. Their Rieslings and gewürztraminers are also very good and may rival some higher end wineries on the west shore…“
