“This is the quintessential local “dive bar”, you will see the same faces every time you walk in. You will also see the same staff members which is huge in my book. That means they are treated well! The food is killer too, my favorites being the nachos, the chicken Caesar salad, and the steak sandwich. I used to love the mozzarella sticks but for some reason they changed them to some really big weird ones. Also, they have half priced wings on Mondays and they are known for their killer wings! If you’re looking for fancy you will not find it…however if you’re looking for fun, good food, a jukebox, and all the sports you could dream of this is your place.“

Came here on a cold snowy night just to grab a quick drink and get on the train. fortunately the vibes and atmosphere that “tala” created were memorable so I said forget that train and stayed. The jukebox has music you can select, the drinks are strong yet perfectly crafted. Never expected this from a hole in the wall dive bar. “I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. “The food was great , they do give you a good portion, it's a little bit pricey but the sauce is excellent, the Peruvian food is very unique,since in long Island is very hard to get good food, most restaurants in long Island suck at food, so this place makes it very rare to find.
The stfa very courteous and friendly, the place it's small but cozy, they do have a bar, take it out is recommended but unless you want to impress stay indoors and eat, very nice place.🎶“

Secondly, the food was amazing, I got an appetizer platter and my three choices were waffle fries, mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings. Our sauces were lime chipotle salsa, ranch and marinara sauce. The food was amazing and the sauce multiplied the flavor of the appetizer. Our entrees were delicious, we got a south west chicken bowl and a grilled cheeseburger respectively. Jimmy, Ali's replacement, was our best friend from the start and showed his 50+ years of experience. As for the burgers... yum and yum, yum. Do one soon! This is a corner bar that has a dart board and personality to be experienced!“

Our table for 8 was ready upon arrival and the manager kindly accommodated our request for an additional table to improve comfort. The hostess, our server and the staff were all very attentive. A few of us ordered from the specials menu and the rest from the dinner menu. From appetizer to entree, the food was delicious and plentiful. We never felt rushed, there was live music playing early on and the atmosphere was upbeat. Overall, we enjoyed a great night. Expect parking to be an issue, especially on weekend evenings. They had a valet service, and there is a municipal lot close by. I managed to find parking about 3 blocks away. Plan accordingly.“

We ordered spinach & artichoke dip and boneless wings as starters, which we gladly enjoyed; and Leo's BBQ ribs, the Trojan Chicken, and the Teriyaki skirt steak for the entrees. Each dish was quite delicious, although my sister-in-law found the steak a bit salty for her tastes. The staff were kind and very attentive as well. Personally, the Trojan chicken was my favorite out of the entrees. It came with a side of yellow rice, and the grilled chicken was topped with mushrooms and cheese. I highly recommend it!“

“I love an upscale Dominican sports bar and lounge. The baseball game on while I eat dinner the music is at the correct volume and its all Dominican music. The food I had was great I haven't been here in years and it was better than I remember. I had skirt steak, goat stew, chicken croquets, a chimi sandwich, fried chicken and the alfredo pasta. All of it was outstanding. I love to see an old establishment still pumping out classic meals. Definitely love this place.“
