“My wife Donna and I just enjoyed a fabulous Valentines Day dinner at Downtown Cafe. We have enjoyed Graziano's culinary artistry for 30 years now, (since the days of Mary Ps), and he just keeps getting better. My wife had the shortribs, and I had the sushi grade tuna with mushrooms and we enjoyed every bite. The service and atmosphere are the best. I would highly recommend the Downtown Cafe for a delicious, relaxing meal and great hometown atmosphere.“

“I really can’t say enough good things about Frank Guido’s Little Italy. From the owners, staff, food… everything. My family & I have shared numerous celebrations and dinners here over the years but nothing will ever top doing our wedding reception with them in May. The amazing service and care we received that night and leading up to it meant so much to us that it’s hard to even put into words how thankful we are. Special recognition to Marie who spent months talking with me, organizing, and making sure everything was perfect.. & it was!! Also, Amanda who made sure we were taken care of all night. You are both exceptional and I can’t thank you enough..And to all the other staff that made our wedding night amazing as well.. THANK YOU!! “Had the most delicious meal last night - the oven bread was steaming and so light and airy. The Caesar salad was perfect - I had a special with tortellini that was also my lunch and dinner today! Wonderful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Truly a gem!!“

“I used to look forward to eating there. But the last two times I had the worst servers. One never came back to check after she dropped off my food. I had wanted a soda refill and another napkin, had to find her to get my check. Last night I came in and was told the kitchen was about to close so I needed to hurry up (I just sat down at about 9:25 pm). I ordered right away. An ice water and a coke and a meatball parm sub. I was lucky to get my soda with her attitude. No ice water was brought or acknowledged at all. I took a few bites of my food and she asked if I wanted a box. I was really irritated. If they told me to go only I would have been fine. But the way I was handled made me angry. I ate quickly and left. If I choose to get something again , it will be to go. Honestly, Caitlyn is the best server there. She is five stars. The others are not worth a dime.“

“Amazing service! Attentive but not overwhelming. Quite possibly the best house salad I've had. The special fried mozzarella appetizer with balsamic was incredible. Brought home a huge portion of my eggplant parmesan because I would have had to take a nap in the restaurant if I ate the whole thing. Highly recommend.“

“Came here not familiar or by a recommendation just looked up restaurants in Kingston and took a chance. Everyone at our table got something different and the dishes were cooked to perfection. The calamari was so tender and the Buffalo sauce to go with it was a nice change. John was our waiter and when we come back we are requesting him. He was always knowledgeable and accommodating. “Let me start out by saying that 5 stars is not enough for this place, Diana and Pete are amazing people with such a welcoming aura to them. This was my first time here, and they made me feel like I was a regular and it made me feel very at home. Not to mention the food was to die for, some of the best pizza I have ever had to date. Drinks are amazing might I add, they have amazing tap beers, wine and cider. They also offer lodging in the inn, and in the summer months offer glamping, will 100% be back to try more food!“

“I had their pizza once, after being unimpressed with one of their competitors -- and now I'm a Mario's fan for life. Pizzas are generously sized, prepared with an abundance of toppings, and reasonably priced. The pizza is so good, I haven't explored the menu much. But they also sell ricotta cheesecake a delicately flavorful, mildly sweet, lighter-textured cheesecake. Genuinely Italian.“

French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.

I’m a vegetarian and many times a past dish will have a hint of veggies- my broccoli rabe dish was more like vegetables with some pasta. DELICIOUS! “If I could rate food 10 stars I would. The soups, service, and especially the grilled salmon with vegetables were all 🤩. The atmosphere was average, this isn't a super fancy restaurant so it was expected. The menu was massive with pasta, pizza, veal, steak, seafood, heroes, salads, soups, an assortment of appetizers, an impressive kids menu, and all the other stuff a fancy Italian place would have. I also thought the price was decent for your average meal but the food was so good they could have changed more and still got me to come back.

Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian dishes but half the menu was neat based.

Kid-friendliness: Faint kids menu, pizza pasta and they can get you vegetables on the side.

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything was wheelchair accessible.“

Whenever I'm visiting patients in the Kingston area, I stop at (and look forward to) Picnic Pizza for a few slices. Nice people, and the best pizza around!“
