“As a first-time tourist in United States I was amazed by this place. First of all, Emma is such a cute dog and there were lots of her pictures around! Secondly, the atmosphere gave me a real American experience. And finally the food was delicious - I’ve ordered an onion soup with fish and chips and my friends went for some salads and all of us were very pleased with the choice. Our waiter was a very funny and kind man, unfortunately we’ve only been passing through Westchester but next time I’ll make sure to come here again!“

“My visit to Arepa Mania Bar & Grill in NY was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing the Reina Pepiada arepa was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The chicharrón was crispy and delicious, and the natural passion fruit juice was incredibly refreshing.

The atmosphere added so much to the experience. The indoor garden-style decor is really nice, giving the space a cozy and vibrant feel that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal even more.

A special shoutout to our server Valentina, whose service was truly outstanding friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

“Surprisingly family-friendly for a bar! It’s our go to weekend hangout. There’s a whole separate area away from the main bar where you can let the kids loose (not literally… unless you’re into that). Tons of games: darts, table games, and enough fun to keep everyone entertained while you sip on a perfectly poured Guinness. The food? Ridiculously good. Wings and burgers hit the spot, and my husband swears by the Reuben-it’s basically his soulmate. Just don’t expect fine china here. Everything comes on paper plates, because the food’s too good to waste time on dishes. Bonus: the owners are the kind of people you’d want to have a beer with-friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly doing it right. “Visiting Greenwich with my lady and she took me to me of her local joints that she grew up going to and I loved it! It’s the type of hometown place that we all love, but seem to be disappearing. Shuffle board, beers, some bomb pizza & great conversations. I’d be a regular if I lived in town.

And can we talk about Connecticut’s pizza game, again! I’ve been constantly happy every time I order a pie.“

“I was with some friends for a bit of a reunion. I honestly did not know what to expect from Haven but all I can say is that it is a wonderful, friendly and cozy place. The lite bites were all tasty, but the tap list, the whisky...and whiskey list were outstanding, but the cocktails...oh my! Everyone in our party thought the cocktails were truly outstanding, different, and creative. And priced fairly. I have paid more at several places for cocktails that were nowhere as good as at Haven. The owners are delightful and made us feel at home and next time I find myself in Port Chester, forget anywhere else...I know where I am going. Thanks Haven!“

“Found this place browsing for "pool table bar". Found this little gem. Has a nice pool table and other games. It is located on a quiet street in downtown stamford. Medium size and has an open area patio in the back. Overall a nice quiet bar. Ordered food which was way better than what I had expected, actually very good. Will go back for the calamaris and freshly cut homemade french fries.“

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.“

“Went for Fathers Day. The Fix Price menu prompted us to order Salads, you got vegetables, and 3 Filet Mignons and a Rib Eye bone in. The House Salad is chopped included vegetables and avacado. It was 6 inches high covering a full dinner plate! The service was consistent of leaving us alone, yet being immediately attentive. Water glasses filled, ample bread filled basket, and changeover between courses properly timed. They had a single desert in the package, however allowed a substitution for ice cream instead. Nice touch.“
