“Not from this area but stopped in yesterday while visiting PC around 8:45am. The store is quite busy and seems regular customers because the staff seemed to know everyone. A couple of PC police were there for quite a while sipping coffee and chatting. Coffee was hot & fresh as was the food. Bathrooms were clean. I visit a lot of DD stores in NJ and all down the east coast and this location is now on my best-DDs list!“

“Great addition to the area. They’ve done an excellent job building a genuinely local coffee shop — from the coffee beans and matcha to the baked goods and wine selection, there’s a clear focus on supporting local producers.

The espresso was excellent, the baristas were great, and there’s plenty of comfortable seating. It’s also a much-needed spot for a drink before a show at the Capitol Theatre.

I also really like the community focus, including events like trivia nights supporting local schools. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and a place that feels invested in the community. This will definitely be my go-to coffee spot.“

“I just had the Starbucks experience. I came to downtown Scarsdale at 6 AM to work. Nothing was open, including the building I was going to work in. I do not drink coffee and had never bought anything at a Starbucks in my lifetime. So they suggest a hot chocolate, was upsold to the largest cup, they put a dab of Whip Cream and Chocolate syrup on it. The barista was a very Upbeat person And provided constant upbeat greetings to every last person who came in. I was thinking of my niece Jessica who was a barista and now makes part of her living doing IMPROV. “I recently bought the Earl Grey Tea and Berry Cornbread at my local Kroger store and was blown away! The richness and the flavor profiles were out of this world, especially the latter flavor of the two. It’s dangerous to know the Kroger store is only five minutes from my house. I’ll definitely be trying other flavors.“

“I come here for years and not had one bad experience! Coffee is greater quality than Dunkin Donuts, and the whole staff has always been tremendous and respectful!

In regards to Roma Felizzola's negative 1 star feedback, I was actually there to witness what happened at the incident. The truth was, she cut everyone in line and was acting belligerent towards the gentleman (whom I know well and has a heavy heart) who was serving us. Roma was in a rush to catch her train, and didn't care at all that there were others waiting in line. She was very loud, volatile, rude, used profanity language, dressed like a man and being disrespectful to the staff member. She was told to leave based of how uncomfortable she made the situation to be for everyone, continuing to cause an unnecessary scenery. Yet, she kept resisting in an obnoxious manner, leading to an eventual transaction to be completed so she can receive her order and leave.

Please do not read into her negative comment, it was all because she didn't receive her order on her time (which she missed her train due to her late arrival). The gentleman that served her was always kind, nice, respected, and a great family man that I personally known for awhile.

Java Joe's is still highly recommended! A ++++ !!“
