“I think the place was having a really bad day with no heat on and 1 person working as a waitress and handling all take out orders. She did try to be nice about, but still the place that had this amazing decor looked like crap with uncleaned tables just because of 1 person being overwhelmed. Did mention that this was on a Friday night where every other restaurant on the block was fully booked with no tables. The food on the other hand was pretty amazing. Food would be the only thing that would ever make me go back to the place“

“I stopped at Durian on a whim while searching for food nearby, and I’m so glad I did! Initially, I was a little hesitant, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for lunch that day.

The lunch special is not only reasonably priced but also offers a fantastic variety of dishes: chicken, shrimp, steak — heads up: the shrimp is at an extra cost though. The portion sizes are generous.

The staff is genuinely warm, funny, and kind, making you feel right at home. Dinning option available. They go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, which is a rarity these days. example; i’m allergic to poultry and eggs. when ordering the tea she double checked if my egg allergy is tried with diary such as milk. That was so thoughtful!

“Very fresh, delicious Thai food. The staff is very welcoming, and it’s BYOB. We love their lemongrass shrimp, sambal chicken and any of their veggie dishes. The steamed pork dumplings are a must to start your meal.“

“Quaint little Thai spot at bottom of Greenwich Ave. These folks are very friendly and have always treated my friends & I well. One time I had a train to catch in 10 minutes & they made me some spring rolls so fast that I didn’t even finish talking to the server at front ! Besides that, their duck and pad thai dishes are phenomenal.“

“Two people in our party, Friday evening, no reservation, but we were seated promptly, choosing to sit at the bar. The service and the food was very good. We commented to the owner/manager about one dish we didn't love, a jalapeno yellowtail ponzu (sauce was over powering) and we were given six sashimi slices of yellowtail on the house to assure our satisfaction. A nice gesture that was not expected or necessary but shows the attention to customer service. Lots of choices for cold sake, fresh fish, great customer service. A win!“

They could be a little friendlier on a consistent basis, which has affected some reviews. However, they aren't rude. Overall, we love the food and it's worth going to as often as we can.“
