Nice place to sit and have a glass of wine, especially during happy hour. But the food was disappointing.
Our waitress, Maeva, was very attentive. We ate there twice and she was very helpful.
Vin Sur Vingt Bistro is an outstanding French bistro in the heart of Sag Harbor. The atmosphere is beautiful, with a lovely dining room, a spotless bathroom, and a fun outdoor area for people watching. The food is amazing, including the smoked tuna tartare, fries, bread, and a light-as-air onion tarte. The cold octopus salad is delicate and tender, while the mussels are large and packed with flavor. The rib eye is huge, and the steak tartare is one of the best. The chef’s food is outstanding and reminiscent of Paris. Service is generally excellent, with servers like Danielle and Maeva described as gracious, lovely, and the nicest and coolest. The bartenders and waitstaff are super attentive and kind. However, one reviewer noted a very unwelcoming experience with a woman who took orders, imposed time limits, and was unfamiliar with a Classic Martini. Overall, the bistro is recommended for its delicious, beautifully light French food and warm service from most staff, making it a great summer place for wine on Main Street.
